SUR: Best Lunch Ever

For lunch we hit up my favorite WeHo restaurant: Sur.

With a decor that reminds me of South Beach and a waitstaff that consists solely of runway models, it's a super sweet and not-too-expensive place for lunch or brunch.

They serve awesome White Sangria.

The foods is good too.

MAO!

MAO and the Hollywood Creepies

Following our hike I figured we'd get the touristy stuff out of the way, so I took Anne over to Hollywood Blvd.

Some people have a fear of clowns...

Anne has an intense irrational (although I guess it is actually slightly rational) fear of street people in costume.

In this following shot, Anne was making a scared face to express her discomfort at the whole touristy/costume-y atrociousness around us. She had no idea that the creepy pirate man was lurking behind her with a sword.

Moments after the photo was taken, Anne sensed his presence and turned her head slowly to find herself face-to-face with scary pirate face. She must have jumped ten feet in the air screaming bloody murder.

It was awesome.

We next stopped for coffee at The Coffee Bean where we saw Dirty Minnie Mouse lurking outside. (These people are mostly homelesses and wear their costumes all day every day... Kind of sad. Kind of dirty. Kind of terrifying.)

I kept poking Anne and telling her to go say hi. But she wanted to keep a safe distance.

Here Anne was posing for another picture, not knowing that we had caught Minnie's attention.

When she turned and saw that Minnie was starting to run towards us she screamed and we ran like silly little children.

I wish I had gotten a picture of dirty Minnie Mouse chasing us (squealing) down Hollywood Blvd...but alas...

MAO conquers canyonism!

We went for a morning hike in Runyon Canyon.

Beautiful day.

Anne decided she would prefer to plow up random dirt paths rather than take the paved easy main path.

We got to the top, where you can see the Hollywood sign.

The view is pretty...

Walking down was hard because of the slippy dirt and ankle twisting and going against the flow of traffic.

But Anne is a champion hiker.

"Hiking! It's just like....walking....."

Anne arrives/gives good presents

Anne (MAO) got in late Thursday night.

SO exciting.

Anne is known for giving the most thoughtful and epic "Just because..." presents in the world.

For Christmas she (and Felix) already got me a Wii...

Then on my last trip to NY she got me my "Town Drunk" T-shirt...

...........................................

This time around she came bearing sweet photobooks...

100 semi-frozen dumplings from Tasty Dumpling...

AND....

SPICE GIRLS DOLLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

New American Idol Exit Song

SO good.

Love it now because when it starts airing at the end of every show and the teeny-boppers across the country fall in love with it you won't allow yourself to.

That is the nature of pop music. You feel guilty for liking something the 16 year olds like.

And you feel ESPECIALLY guilty for liking the American Idol theme song.

Unless you're me.

T-29 hours...

until we are graced with Annee's presence.

gibbidygibbidygibbidygibbidy...WAAAHAAAAAAA!!!!

DAVID ARCHULETA IS GOING TO WIN AMERICAN IDOL

There are still 24 contestants left...

...but he is amazing.

There is no way he's not going to win.

I love him.

Kimmel's Response

If you didn't see this Oscar night, maybe you have by now seen it on YouTube.

Or maybe you live in a hole.

Celebrity Sighting!!!!

So I went to Taco Tuesday at Hamburger Mary's with Camilla.

We over-ate. Obviously. And following this we decided to walk around our neighborhood.

So we walked up to Fairfax, then turned around and walked the other direction.

Passing O-Bar, I noticed that Bobby's friend Nick (who taught us the epic finger game) was bartending.

At the same time that I noticed Nick, Cami noticed Mischa Barton, sitting outside on the patio with her entourage which apparently included DJ Samantha Ronson (who I think dated Lindsay Lohan?).

So we went in and Nick made us drinks and we sat at the bar and observing Mischa as she gallivanted around kind of drunken and sporting new platinum blonde hair.

I'm not sure why people go platinum blonde. It usually looks awful.

Cami also noted that Mischa has tree-trunk legs.

I thought she looked pretty awesome regardless.

I'm F*cking McKeon

In case you live in a hole, Sarah Silverman made this hilarious viral video a few months ago.

Bobbo, now in his first year at film school, made an incredible remake of the video for his BFF Conor's birthday.

Sure he's basically just copying Sarah's video, but it takes some serious skillz to reproduce something this accurately while still keeping it somewhat original...

Bobbo your future is bright.

It also helps that they are both f*cking adorable.

I love the creatives.

Oscars 2008 / Elton John's Party

Danny went to Elton John's Oscar Party yesterday.

It was held across the street from our apartment at the Pacific Design Center.

I was incredibly jealous.

He sat across from Rupert Murdoch and next to Mr. Big (Chris Noth), JC Chasez, and Chace Crawford.

He danced with Tara Reid.

He was stepped on by Sharon Stone and Sir Elton himself.

Posh and Becks were no-shows.

Kate Beckinsale is beautiful.

As is Antonio Sabato Jr.

So jealous.

Haha. Balls...

In preparation for Anne's arrival, I thought it would be good to check out Eleven on Saturday night to make sure it is still SO MUCH FUN.

It is.

Alexrose brought out his little pointing device. And that is where the trouble began.

And then Nic pulled out his balls and we posed with them.

The following images are probably NSFW.

We are so weird.

Randoms think we are so weird.

But also kind of funny.
