The return home.

We left Vegas around noon.

There were dust storms and traffic.

The trip took six hours.







This was an exciting entry.

Birthday in Vegas

Spending more than 24 hours in Las Vegas is a bit exhausting.

We played poker until 4am this morning. Then slept until about 8am-ish.

I honestly don't remember what happened for the next six hours.

At some point we went to the Bellagio to watch the pretty little fountains.



Then there was a buffet. With jelly beans.

We played with our food.

Impromptu Vegas trip...

Mysto Dan suggested that we go to Vegas for fun/my birthday...



Several hours later...



We arrived around 2am and quickly made our first stop to pick up some 40s.




We cruised the strip. It was pretty dead on a Monday night...



But that didn't keep us from having our own fun...



Then, wasted, we played poker.



It was actually a quite profitable night...

THANKSGIVING!!!!

So on real Thanksgiving Day I had some Jack-In-The-Box.

MmmmmMmmmmmm...BruschettaChickenCiabbata....

In the Kwan household, we do our Thanksgiving on Saturday.

Also, we make labels for each course:



Kristy purchased a 26 lb. turkey, worrying there would not be enough of the food.



Also she made delicious appetizers...




And purchased little thanksgiving trinkets...



Narnals enjoyed the alcohol.



And everyone enjoyed the dinner.



Dessert was had on the patio.



Also there may or may not have been friend-jobs in my closet happening between a little halfie and a little Harvard boy.

I'm a...video ho?

Yesterday around noon I got a call for a rush casting for RobbbieWillliams's new music video.



Robbie, being the gay-friendliest rockstar that he is...



...decided that the world was due for another video where all performers (including himself) were dressed in drag.

Our scene took place in a bar/diner. I was cast as the cook/waitress after the main actor was a no-show. Not sure if I get any major screen-time, but you will probably catch me slowly pacing back and forth behind the bar.

It was a fun shoot. I met lots of cool people and potential clients.




Some of the costumes were incredibly intricate and beautiful...



Others were just kind of scary.



Also there were Harajuku girls.




The video was directed by JohanRenck, who also directed Madonna's "Hung Up" video.



He was a cool Swedish dude who reminded me a lot of Bjoern.

At one point I found myself sitting next to AlexisArquette (tranny brother of David, Rosanna, Patricia, etc.)...

I'm an...actor?

So I joined LACasting figuring it could lead to getting cast as the giant Asian in some giant Asian movie. (There's going to have to be one at some point...)

Also I realized I could work on movie sets as an extra and meet lots of struggling actors and get more potential headshot clients and make money off of everyone's hopes and dreams!

So, last night I became an actor, working my first night as an extra on the set of a student film about warring Asian gangs and a drag queen.

I was cast as the giant Asian gang member.

Pre-Thanksgiving Feast

Adam & Laryssa cooked a 20-person feast yesterday in pre-celebration of Thanksgiving.



Complete with 3 turkeys, prime rib, stuffing, mac & cheese, a really hot gay couple, and PIES...it was definitely yummy, but nowhere near as epic as our Thanksgiving is going to be.

Brenda's Birthday

We went down to Nikki's Local 72 in Venice to celebrate Brenda's (AKA Helloooooo Nurse! (see Halloween Night One)) birthday.






The bar lost Doug's credit card.

That did not happiness make.



Apparently I passed out on the couch singing Justin Timberlake while Doug plucked hairs out of my leg... :-/

Oops. Nevermind.

J.J.Abrams was in Italy this morning for Tom and Katie's wedding...

Although he could have gone straight from me to the airport....

Celebrity Director Sighting

Saw J.J. Abrams in Santa Monica in a black porsche.

He is kind of god-like.

Superman DVD Launch Party

We went back to Social Hollywood last night as they were hosting the Superman DVD and Videogame launch party.

It was tooooooootallly sweeeeeeeeeeeet.





Inside, the special function room (which had been closed every other time we were there) had been transformed into a laser lightshow ice palace.



The bars were made of ice...





The drinks were made of glowing...



There was a photo booth...



And nifty little gymnast people.




(I liked the boy one better).



Not pictured was the yumminy-yum food which included mini-burgers, hot dogs, and Social's special mac and cheese, the best I've ever had in my life.

It was a very sweet party.



By the way, I did actually see The Routh again, but failed to take his picture as he passed me quickly on his way up to the VIP Room (where I guess we were not special enough to go).
