Yaya = FIERCE

She may not have won America's Next Top Model...

...but this girl can totally rock it out.

Memorial Day in Central Park

Had brunch at Bouchon Bakery in the Time Warner Center overlooking Columbus Circle.

What a great place.

Got to see Munish for a few minutes before he jetted back to Arizona (he was in town for a wedding)...

I love how we're all so bicoastal.

Then we walked across the street into Central Park (where, surprisingly, I've never been).

It was really incredible. Kind of the New York equivalent of going to the beach.

Then we walked around the city.

Passing by Regis and Kelly's studio...

And an enormous food fair set against a backdrop of enormous skyscrapers (really neat).

We then stopped at Moustache for some Ground Lamb Pizza.

Deeeeelicious.

Dom's BBQ

Dom claimed to have spent $1000 on food and drink for his little all-day BBQ, so I felt like we owed it to him to drive up to Boston and check it out.

It was quite a college-y scene with a mix of Brown kids, Deerfield kids, lots of other random white people and three Asians (Me, Steph, and Tak).

We called it quits early and headed back to NYC so that we'd have a full day of Memorial Day fun without having to sit in traffic.

VIVA! / Felix's Birthday

Pregaming took place BBQing and hanging out at Briah's.

We then trekked across College Hill...

...singing as we went.

We arrived at our first stop. A megaparty at the mayor's mansion.

Unfortunately not everyone was on the list. So most opted not to go in.

Instead, Felly struck up a song and we sang our way over to VIVA.

At Viva we encountered an obliterated (and highly generous) JoeMorone.

He proceeded to buy us about 25 shots.

No joke.

Viva was practically empty before the twenty of us showed up.

Within minutes there was a dance-party going.

And soon after that, the place was packed.

At midnight, Felix turned the big 2-5.

.......

And we got kicked out for excessive rowdiness.

On our way home we passed a meatball stand where the Silver Truck used to be.

And we lay around on the green.

And then passed the f*ck out.

KG slept across a row of barstools.

It was an awesome night.

I FUCKING LOVE BROWN

Campus Dance: Year Three.

Ah....the wonder of it all.

It really doesn't get any better. (Except for maybe Night 2)

Old friends everywhere...

30,000 singing, dancing, wasted-ass smartpeople...

BrentGrinna sightings...

More dancing...

And general zealousness...

AND THEN IT HAPPENED.

..................................

KG got down on one knee.

..................................

Everyone gathered around.

.............................

Gasping.

Snapping photos.

It was finally happening.

After SIX YEARS.

................................

Heidi was beaming.

"QUIET EVERYONE!!!! HE'S GOING TO PROPOSE!!!!"
I shouted.

Best friends and strangers all gathered around for the momentous event.

.........

And then....it happened...

KG looked up into Heidi's eyes.

........................

A twinkle in his eye.

A giant grin on his face.

................................
................................
................................

It then turned ugly.

His face contorted into something horrible.

His tongue came out of his mouth.

His face scrunched up.

"NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" he shouted, in a nasal, subhuman tone.

Everyone was stunned.

Jaws dropped.

It was the meanest prank in the history of the world.

These two have been dating since FRESHMAN YEAR.

It would have been the perfect occasion for a proposal: A beautiful setting. Where it all began. Surrounded by best friends.

But no.

It was just KG being KG.

Heidi dealt with the whole stunt like the trooper that she is and laughed about it with the rest of us. We were all very impressed and amazed.

She really is a special type of super human. If you don't believe me, click here.

.................................

Later on there were several Masi Oka sightings.

We trekked home to Briah's sweaty and mostly blacked-out around 3am.

The morning after was not a pretty sight.

Briah's apt was a total sweaty smelly air-conditionless (yet awesome) crackhouse.

I LOVE BROWN.
