Aqua / More HK arrivals

The view of Central Hong Kong at night is one of the most beautiful things you could ever witness.

And on New Years...with millions of fireworks exploding everywhere...it's just breathtaking.

We had dinner at Aqua on Tuesday night. The restaurant offers a stunning penthouse view of Hong Kong harbor. Better than at Felix.

Friends Jason and Jennifer and Mike had all just arrived from Taiwan and Singapore.

Dinner was good.

The food is tasty. But not epic.

But it is all worth it for the view.

Even though for us it was raining and super foggy.

Afterwards we descended on LKF where pre-New Years celebrations were in full-effect.

Eugene's Yale friends had all just arrived as well.

We found a random College Party at Volar.

It was packed with Asians.

And was a suuuuper fun dance party.

Someone asked me if Tim and I were brothers, and I said, "no.......but THANK YOU!!!!"

That was reason enough to celebrate.

A LOT.

All the groups of friends came together seamlessly.

It's just easy when everyone is so nice and fun and pretty!

People were semi-wastedface.

I told Tim to "look as ugly as possible" for a picture and this is the best he could do...

We'll work on it....

.......

Happily, noone met the same fate as this rando girl...

We've amassed quite the entourage for the big New Year's celebration!

Heeeere we gooooo...

Everyone has slowly been trickling into HK over the past few days.

Last night Tim arrived. And I got over my jetlag and was finally able stay up past 7pm.

We had a low-key night out. Eugene secured a private room for us in LKF.

Suuuuuuper newyears funtimes coming up soon!

Tunes. Booze. People. Deerfield.

Beef and Beer-ed up from our epic dinner with TimLoh and his daddio...

We headed over to Lan Kwai Fong where the rugby revelry was ongoing.

It was absolute insanity.

We somehow found our way over to YumLa, which has a really cool sign:

More than a handful of Deerfield characters were present for the festivities.

(Pictured from L to R: EugeWong, IvyWoo, KarlaSy, Clarence, TL, ChrisBurtch)

And with drinks in hand, the fun began.

I am so thankful for The Deerfield and The Brown.

Without either I would know maybe 7 wonderful people. Tops.

And probably 4 of those 7 would be totally stupid.

Shots! Shots! Shots!

(Tim licked my hand.)

(It was awesome.)

YumLa got super crowded so we ended up outside on the Facebreaker Stairs.

Facebreaker, because they are steep and lined with bars and people get drunk and fall down them and break their faces all the time.

There is something so satisfying about Deerfield/Brown intermixing.

Maybe I'll invite everyone to crash Rach and Rob's wedding.

YumLa stopped being cool and it was time to go elsewhere.

So we carefully headed down the scary stairs to go to some other club called Pi.

Pi was on the top floor of some commercial building I think.

We had to wait for an elevator to take us up.

Met up some other assorted friends. Names I do not recall.

And almost immediately Tim made a beeline for the bar, ordering way too many shots.

Yay for Alcohol Asians.

The rest is a blur.

Somehow we ended up back at the stairs?

And back at LKF?

I don't know.

I'm just glad I wasn't THIS GUY:

Rugby 7s tomorrow!
