Sometimes you're with two or three of your best friends and you go out and act like fools and it is the best time ever but it's not like an EVENT and so it's silly to take a ton of pictures and blog about that right? But I like turning everything into an event. Life is more fun that way. So I will remember this weekend as just one big event.
Except for the epic dinner Sunday night. That gets its own post.
Heeeere we go!
---------------------------------------
So my amazing NYC makeup artist Kelli has been MIA all summer because she's been part of the production of Hairspray playing at the Gateway Playhouse out in Patchogue, Long Island.
I LOVE Hairspray. I used to be obsessed with it. (Remember my 26th Wastedface Birthday when I passed out singing it? Yeah. Obsessed.)
The only other person I know who is equally in love with it?
BOBBY!
So I waited for his visit to NYC to schedule a little trek out to Patchogue, Long Island to catch Kelli's show.
We left NYC early Friday afternoon.

But traffic was hell and it took nearly 3 hours to do what is normally a 1-hour drive.

Poor Bob broke his pinky and had his little hand in a little cast.

I told him he should draw a pretty little happy face on it and bring it around posing in pictures like I did with Sarah when I gashed my hand open. He thought that idea was stupid.
We arrived in Patchogue and it took another hour to find parking because there was some crazy weekly festival going on.

We eventually found the theater.

But there was a little snafu with our tickets...

It all worked out though and we made it in just in time for the show to start.

Pictures technically weren't allowed during the show. So I snuck a few at the very end.
But it was a fantastic show. It's a wonderful wonderful musical and the cast did an awesome job.
Most of them anyway.
Corny Collins kind of blew.

And they gave Kelli (below) really really big hair.

Oh and the show also starred American Idol's Todrick Hall as Seaweed!

Thank you Kelli for the free tickets!

Kelli is fierce. Here's a quickie shot I took of her the other day while we were shooting another client.

Fierce. Like TimLoh.
Speaking of TimLoh. We rushed back to the city and it only took an hour with no traffic.
It was like 11. And I was with Tee** and DannyHong at Pianos. And I texted Maggie to see what was up since she lives a block away. And she was like yo yo yo we're down the street at Le French Diner.
So I sprinted over to grab a quick bite with Magothy.

Before jumping back over to meet Tee and DannyHong at Los Feliz.

Tom came too. Because he loves Asians. Love love loves.

Asians!

Oh and then we went to meet up with Bobbo again and his pretty little sister for his friend Sam's going away party.

Kristen joined us too. It was the best.

What a great "night"!
No really though, it was an incredible weekend.
Sunday night's dinner - epic. More on that tomorrow.
** Yes, Tee is in town and has been for the past 9 weeks, which is approximately when I stopped attending to my blog in a timely manner.
