Speaking of Kobe...

I'm reminded of the top secret project I worked on back in February.

I had posted pictures previously, but wasn't really able to say what it all was about.

Well, now that the series has aired in Asia, I can.

Basically, K.B. shot a reality series where he recruited the young future stars of Chinese basketball, stuck 'em in a separate houses in LA. And had them compete for spots on an all-star Chinese basketball team with one of them finally ending up his ultimate disciple.

The kids were all pretty young, ranging from thirteen-years old to their early twenties.

Many of them were taller than me.

A lot of them were pretty talented. I'm excited to see which ones eventually make it to the NBA, as I'm sure many of them will.

I wonder how successful the series was...?

I assume it was pretty huge, because K.B. is HUGE (even bigger than Yao) in Asia. And with the Olympics and all...I bet these kids all became national celebrities...

Because the entire project was sponsored by Nike, there was truckloads of giant-Asian-sized Nike gear for the players to use.




It was a fun couple of weeks.

Shopping!

So the Eebok people brought everyone shopping at Eeboktown in Beverly Hills.



A gang of giant shopping-spreeing Asians picking up anything and everything in sight?

Quite the sight.

ShiQian (pronounced shhhh-chan) looks like a super tall version of my cousin Jon.



Or maybe not. (I'm really bad at alllooksame.com).

More Asian Tallness

We spent $1300 on lunch today (which is nothing compared to the $6500 Anne spent last week but whatever) ordering P.F.Chang's which is so incredibly Americanized (disgusting) and overpriced (we could have paid $300 or so had we gone to a real Chinese restaurant).



Then we set up this MASSIVE green screen for taking promotional shots. (Notice how tiny the 6-foot man is standing next to it. )




The budget for this production is ridiculous.

My favorite is brother Shi Qian.



Shi Qian translated phonetically means "It's money!"

One day I think this will be true. He will be a walking pile of money.

Also he is 13 years old.

Hello talls....

This production I'm working on is fun.

Crazy hours.

I worked until 10 yesterday.

Started at 7:30 today.

Danny started working for us today also.

I have never seen so many other tall Asians before.

And taller than me!

They too duck under doorways. And hit their heads on low-hanging lamps. And eat like monsters.

I love them.

The chosen ones.
