MRKT

PeterSmathers was in town last week for the MRKT tradeshow that his company, Smathers & Branson, had a stall at, so I went by the Convention Center to visit him.

There were lots of pretty clothes and important fashion people wheeling and dealing.

Peter made a big sale of custom S&B products to Kitson, which was pretty huge.

He took me around and introduced me to the principal peeps of some other up and coming companies like Vineyard Vines and Southern Tide etc.

And there was a Hot Danny sighting!

Next time we see Peter will be at his wedding in SF in September! Yay!

Hot Danny's Windows Commercial!

A couple weeks back Hot Danny was telling me about this commercial he shot for Microsoft. It hit TV stations today. Megoon was the first to catch it.

If Megoon made tens of G's off her voiceover residuals for Citibank years ago, I can only imagine how much Danny is going to make.

So I netflixed Surrogates and just started watching it this evening.

If you haven't seen it, it's this Bruce Willis movie about the future and how everyone uses a "Surrogate" to represent them in the real world.

These surrogates are like robots and are perfect looking and so there's lots and lots of ridiculously pretty people in the movie.

So in one of the opening scenes there's a car crash.

This car swerves to avoid hitting a motorcyclist and hits a pole and flips and crashes into a line of surrogates waiting in line for a club.

The police arrive.

And clean up the scene.

As they pull the car away...they unveil our sexy surrogate innocent bystander victim...

And it's Danny!

Happily he is not dead because he is sparking and still able to move his head and wiggle his fingers.

Unhappily, this is all we get to see of him in the movie.

Hmmph.

Bet it was a fun movie to shoot though!

It's SOOOOO snowy out!

It feels like Christmas.

Costume Quest and Party-Prep

Remember when Danny and I went on a Kross Kuntry Adventure?

Friday was kind of like that.

But it was about 10,000 times shorter.

We started at California Roll Factory for some much needed sustenance.

Then hit up Costco for party supplies.

And finally the Halloween Store to find Danny a costume.

We tried on several silly ones.

Encountered more creepy dead babies.

And had a Hot Danny sighting!

Roommate Danny settled on a hot dog costume to go with my taco.

And that's it. We're done.

We have sooo much booze.

Back to LA

I arrived back in LA Thursday night.

Hot Danny picked me up from the airport and immediately whisked me back to WeHo to reunite with Roommate Danny.

We hit Fiesta...

...where they now offer beer pong on the roof.

Smileyjohn and I played the most terrible game ever.

Actually we all did. After about 8 straight turns of neither team making a single shot with a bevy of bar patrons looking-on, we decided that this was just embarrassing and we should give up, pretend someone won, and drink everything in sight.
