Urban Dictionary: Kwan

Last night while pregaming at Matt and Kelli's, my love for urban dictionary was renewed.

Here's how Urban Dictionary defines "Kwan":

1. kwan

Kwan is Love, Respect, Community & the Dollars too.

"Yeah, you right. You got my Kwan."

2. kwan

Another word for shit, crap...

Teacher: "Back in the 1600's..."
Student: "Shutup bitch I don't wanna hear your kwan."

...........................

"Kwan" can apparently also be used in a sentence, like "Suck my kwan".

1. suck my kwan

An insult much like "suck it" or "suck my wang". "Suck my kwan" is also the best comeback ever.

Hannah: "I hate you."
Ellen: "Suck my kwan!!!!!"

Girl: "You are so retarded."
Other Girl: "suck my kwan!!!"

...........................

Look for more fun "word of the day"s, coming soon.

This town is silly.

Imran forwarded me this craigslist post he found: http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv/adg/836109998.html

Abbot Kinney Festival

...or shall I say Abbot Kinney DEATH Festival**?

Last year we did a Epic Power Hour before the festival.

Crazy to think all that was already a year ago.

This year was a little more low-key.

We started out pre-gaming at Bobbo's.

Then headed out to the Festival.

It wasn't nearly as fun as last year. I feel like I spent the entire time waiting for the bathroom.

Of course I also ended up getting too drunk, wandering around on my own, and passing out on the beach. Like a homeless person.

So glad that when I woke up and it was dark out nobody had stolen my wallet**.

**UPDATE: Or SHOT me. Holy shit!

Doug @ Del's

You know that feeling when you wake up the morning after a great night out and you're only mildly hungover and everything is so happy and sunny and life is just totally wonderful and also you might be a little bit on crack?

I am feeling that right now.

Giddy. Empowered. Awesome. Yay.

Doug's birthday was fun.

......................................

We started off pregaming and celebrating Matt and Matt and Ryan's birthdays...

...and then jumped over to Del's, the site of wastedfaced birthdays past, where Doug was celebrating with a bunch of Brown kids.

It was unexpected amounts of fun. It's been a long time since the glory days of Blackout Thursday.

I miss it.

Wait, did he recuse himself? Or did he recuse himself? I can't remember, did he recuse himself?

Sarah Palin is so terrifying.

And here she is once again claiming that Alaska's proximity to Russia gives her adequate foreign policy experience...

I seriously wonder how any Republican voter could possibly view these videos and truthfully declare that they have faith in their candidate.

Debates. Woo!!!!

I've only watched the first 15 minutes, but it looks like Obama is going to kick some ass.

Annie and Taty are off to Philly to campaign. Lucky bitches.

Remember this?

Yes we CAN - black eye peas

OBAAAAMAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Bobbo's Obama-McCain Animation Class Project

Awesome. Brilliant. You are one talented mofo Mr. McKeon.

Ne-Yo - "Closer"

Currently treadmillizing to this song.

MAO Germany

So Anne's ad campaign will be on billboards across Asia any day now. (If you see one, please take a picture and send it along.)

Last week when I was in NYC, we took some new photos...

...because today, the company (a soap company, rhymes with "Glove") is in talks about whether or not they'll be calling her back for a new campaign, shooting sometime over the next few weeks...in Germany!

DĂĽsseldorf to be exact.

That would be a fun blog entry.

I have a pretty good feeling about this...

.................................................................................

Saturday | Sept 20 2008 | 4pm

Hollywood Hills | Briar Summit (just off Mulholland Dr.)

Overlooking all of Los Angeles...

It was a bright sunny day. Perfect for a beautiful LA wedding full of beautiful people.

Guests and groomsmen all arrived between 3 and 4pm.

The perfect-looking groom performed a quick mic check...

And the ceremony went underway.

Matt started it off, walking his and Kelli's mothers down the runway aisle.

Following Matt, his siblings led the procession. His oldest brother Jason escorted his gorgeous 13-year-old (?) sister Danielle, who, strangely, looked as if she could have been a relative of Matt OR Kelli's. Weird...

I guess pretty people are like Asians...all look same.

Once the hot groomsmen and bridesmaids were all lined up, the flower girls made their way down the aisle.

And then, out came the bride.

It was a short but really heartfelt ceremony.

Matt stumbled his way through his vows, tears streaming down his face...

...and little bro Ian's...

The officiant (Matt's grandpa) pronounced them husband and wife...

...and they were married.

I tried to get a good shot of them walking down the aisle, but they both were kind of ducking their heads and hiding their faces, overcome with emotion.

So cute.

We proceeded to the reception, held at Matt's boss's house in the hills. (Matt now works for one of LA's top realtors, showing million-dollar houses, in addition to his regular print/runway work...)

Tables were arranged throughout the terraced garden and around the pool.

There was a cactus garden.

And cute baby pictures everywhere.

Ian gave a touching little speech to his big bro.

And then we all sat down...

...And pushed food around on our plates while trying not to throw up...I mean...ate. (Supermodel wedding joke. Ha.)

Night fell quickly. And the pool and property were lit up beautifully.

It was a tiny bit cold.

But happily, there was alcohol.

And red velvet wedding cake.

Dancing ensued. And with it, more drinking...

...to a point where Ryan and Grattan wandered dangerously close to the edge of the pool...

And fell in fully clothed.

Adrian saw this...and plunged in as well.

One after another, the entire wedding party jumped into the pool.

Tuxes and gowns all soaked. These peoples is crazy.

Crazy/Beautiful.

Dancing continued into the night.

And then KK and I took the shuttle home.

That's it. The end of my first big wedding season.

Congrats Matt and Kelli!

(thanks to Ryan for the above final photo)
