So I was supposed to stay at my friend/former headshot client's house when I arrived in LA. But the night before I found out he had just been burglarized. So I was like, hell no I am not staying somewhere where my tens of thousands of dollars of equipment and priceless memories might get stolen...
So I posted on facebook, "Need place to stay in LA., who wants to host a giant?" And soooo many lovely people responded! I ended up staying with Matt and Adrian one night. And then for the rest of my time I stayed with William up in his epic new home in the Hollywood Hills.
Situated behind the legendary Chateau Marmont, the view was siiiick...
I was in LA for AnnieAli's wedding. But happily I also managed to schedule a bunch of headshot shoots as well during the week.
Wedding day came and Miss Ali looked like the most beautiful bride ever. And this was BEFORE hair and makeup!
She had gotten cute robes and parasols for her bridesmaids...
And her sisters/maids of honor wore matching yellow dresses.
So stunning...
Here's when Annie and Eric had their first look. SO cute.
And then after doing some normal boring family photos, we wanted to have a little more fun...
We tried a few various "tough" poses. And then I had an idea and was like, "Tatyana, can you squat down in front and cross your arms all tough-like?"
And Tatyana was like, "...you mean you want me to do PRISON POSE?!?!?"
LOL, and I was like, "uh...yes...?"
And she NAILED IT.
Boom! Married!!!!
In order to make her wedding ultra fabulous, Annie had invited the gays.
Of course we knew our role!
There were lots of Brown people on hand as well!
And LAKU.
Jesse and I accidentally wore matching ties. Oops!
The entire wedding was stunning and SO fun.
All in the privacy of their own backyard!
Thousands more photos...but honestly, who knows when or if I'll ever get to blogging those...
Sunday night I took the redeye home to NYC. Landed at 6am Monday. Grabbed my car. Booked it back into the city for a 9am wedding consultation. Then did an actor's headshot shoot at 10am. Met up with Conlix for lunch. Then hopped in my car and drove 5 hours down to Delaware where I've been shooting product and model photos for Smathers and Branson the last couple days. Tomorrow is our last shoot day and I'll be heading straight back to NYC for another wedding this weekend. And then taking off for San Francisco for a wedding next week!
Whew! Whirlwind! Can't believe I actually got the time to even post this entry.

San Diego: Arrival & PlaidParty
So exactly two weeks ago, before I went to New Orleans or Atlanta, I went to San Diego to meet up with Will and Jesse and Smileyjohn!
You know who else lives in San Diego? Sean!
I haven't seen Seany since Southern Decadence 2009! Wow. Time flies...
Sean, is a local celebrity in San Diego. He bartends at The Hole. And as a hot bartender in a tiny town, you tend to know everyone everywhere, and they shower you with free drinks.
EEEK!!!
Soon Jesse and Will arrived...
Smileyjohn is the BEST host! (Even though I suspect he was totally annoyed with us the entire time.)
Sallydog is the CUTEST!
We had an impromptu plaid party!
And so we hit the bars.
Now when Jesse and I go out together, people ALWAYS want to talk to us (because we are such beautiful giants, and it's such an easy conversation topic, obvi!)
Usually, though, the people that come up to us are total weirdos and get all up in our faces. And being from LA, we're used to this kind of crap and have equipped ourselves with some shade to deal with it....
But after being REALLY RUDE to a couple of our admirers, we realized, you can't be busting out L.A.-face in San Diego. Because people in San Diego are NICE! And FRIENDLY!
So we tried our best to do-away with our L.A.-faces and instead treated all our annoying admirers to beautiful shining SD-faces.
Check out these great before and afters...
L.A.-face!

Arizona!
I returned from Africa last Tuesday. On Thursday I hopped on a flight to Phoenix to "surprise" Lady Di with a little gay mini-housewarming party. (Diana & Jason moved to Arizona and bought a new home a couple of months ago.) Will and Steven drove out from LA.
Look how pretty!
They even have their own cactus!
A home like this in LA would be MILLIONS of dollars!
We LOVES Jason and Diana's new home!
Their backyard is enormous. They have a pool...
And orange and lemon trees!
And plenty of cacti...
Will...you are so weird.
Of course we went and sampled the local delights.
And then we also went and took a Segway tour of downtown Scottsdale.
It took us a little bit and a training course to get comfortable on the segways...
But pretty soon we were high-fashion segway-ing!
While riding around town past some random bars and stuff, some sarcastic meathead bar random shouted, "You guys don't look gay at all on those Segways..." to which we replied, "Excuse me, we ARE gay!!!"
And then we twirled and sped off. (Twirling on a segway is SUPER fun. If you want, they basically spin in place...)
We are SO cool.
It was really really fun.
Afterwards we stopped for more food and bubbly champagne...
The champagne came with sprinkles!
The sprinkles made it extra tasty and fizzy...
Oh Will...
That night we also went gay dancing.
Gay Phoenix is SUPER fun.
Sunday morning we woke and went to a DELICIOUS waffle/brunch place.
We shared a Belgian Waffle app...
Then feasted on brunch.
And topped it off with an Oreo Smore Pancake. HEAVEN.
We LOOOOVE Arizona. Congratulations on your new home, Jason & Diana (& Ruby)! And thank you for hosting us!
Off to Vegas tomorrow for a weeklong Photography convention! WPPI!
