Day Off!

So I've been boring about posting lately. I sincerely apologize.

18ish straight days of shooting will cut into anyone's blog time.

Well. Today my client flaked on me, so I have the day off. Wooooo!

Well. Kind of.

I have to run downtown to the Chinese Consulate to get my Visa stuff straightened out for China. Yech.

I hate downtown. Back when we shot Keith Urban's video downtown we got a cup of urine thrown at us from one of those ghetto-ass hotel balconies.

Trannies and crackheads everywhere.

Like I said, Yech.

In more exciting news, the party circuit resumes tomorrow with the first BUEG mixer of '07, hosted by yours truly at...where else, Q's!

Craigslist Creepies

Inspired by the Gay Masseuse, and by ensuing conversations with friends. I decided to test the waters and place my own little ad on craigslist.

It read the following:

Hi!

I'm 25, 5'4" Slender Asian female looking to make some money to help pay for school. Please include face picture. I am selective.

Within minutes I received a response.

Within ten minutes I had 14 responses.

And then my ad was flagged and removed.

It's CRAZY how many people (many from work emails) cruise craigslist casual encounters.

Pretty pretty Christian wedding.

We shot a wedding yesterday.

Although it was a super-Christian ceremony, everything about it was pretty much perfect.

Almost everyone in the church cried when two amazing singer people and a choir sang Celine Dion/Andrea Bocelli's "The Prayer".

The reception was held at the Victorian over on Main St. in Santa monica. We stole the couple for a few minutes and tossed them in the middle of the street and got some rocking shots.

Bjoern is one talented mofo.

The Wilton Hilton throwed a party.

And Rach showed off her new bf.



Oh yes. It is RJ Fried from Deerfield.

Heidi's Temp Job

I went to pick up Heidi from her temp job for lunch.

So, Heidi has been temping at this super high-profile retouching studio for the past week or so working as the receptionist, answering phones and receiving guests, packages, and pizzas.

Weirdly, and somewhat hilariously, there sits a giant painting behind the main reception desk that looks JUST LIKE HEIDI.

Apparently more than just a few visitors (and janitorial staff) had assumed it was in fact her, and had commented on what a beautiful portrait it was of the lovely temp receptionist (and had probably thought it quite strange).



I mean really.



The resemblance is uncanny.

And hilarious.

Singles Awareness Day

Felix, Steph, Anne and I shared a delicious V-Day meal at Ivo & Lulu's, this teeny little French-Caribbean joint which served some pretty epic food. (And also is BYOB.)



There was a lots and a lots of a wein.



And also delicious rabbit weiners. (Rabbit and ginger sausages.)
