Update

So yesterday after I posted my little blog entry, Philip called me and filled me in on the deal. And I can't really say anything about it just yet. But he mayyyyy be coming to NYC this weekend to tape SNL with Elton John and if he follows through with taking me like he said he might, I will have some fun news to tell you.

Also I'm going to Florida and the Bahamas on Sunday on the Disney Dream to hang with former roommate Tom, so either way...exciting things coming up!

OMGOMG

So my friend and former headshot client Dreamy Philip posted this picture on his fb wall last night..

I immediately commented on the photo and said, "WHAAAAT???? HOW????"

And he proceeded to private message me saying he was backstage with her parents and her last night at her show in LA...

But when pressed for more info he was very vague....

Take from this what you will...

If my friend were dating Lady Gaga I think I would just die.

Lost cameras. Lost pictures. Los Angeles.

So...I lost not one but two of my cameras recently.

I lost my primary partycam, a small Canon Powershot SD750, which contained pictures from a whole week in LA (which followed Vegas).

And then I also appear to have misplaced my 3rd backup pro-camera. An EOS 20D with a 17-85mm lens attached. I seriously have no idea where it is and am generally very careful with my equipment. It was experiencing technical difficulties so I THOUGHT that I had put it aside in the trunk of my car in order to bring to the shop for repairs...but it's not there. And I doubt it would have been removed because, well, my car hasn't been broken into... it's not in my apartment, and I didn't bring it to Hong Kong, or Vegas, or LA...I don't think. It mayyyy be in New Jersey, where I normally store my car when I'm out of town (at my friend Kurtis's house) but I asked him and he hasn't seen it...I'm stumped. Grrrrrrr. This stinks.

If anyone happens to have any information regarding either of my cameras, you will be handsomely rewarded.

Until then, these are the few iPhone pics I have from LA.

We went out for St Pattys and Steven, who is a fantastic artist, designed customized tshirts for each of us with cute little drawings on them.

Steven also designed my new EggFury logo which I am obsessed with:

Photobucket

Pretty awesome eh?

It's exactly what I envisioned when I came up with the name EggFury as my AIM name almost a decade and a half ago. Crazy.

You can view Steven's work at www.womackart.com

We also ate meatballs at Al Gelato yummmm...

And went gay dancing with Lady Di.

Dear Universe,

I believe that I have done lots of nice things for nice people with my nice cameras and do not deserve that they be taken away.

Please send my cameras back to me. Thank you.

Of Mouse and Men

So as we were leaving Vegas, Danny's car started to make awful scary noises.

Then the check engine light came on.

So we pulled over and found a Meineke as soon as we could.

They checked it out and said something about the spark plugs and burning a hole in the floor of the car. I dunno. Sounded major.

So we were without car. And had to wait. And wait and wait. Like 6 hours.

Luckily Meineke was in a strip mall complete with Dollar Depot, Target, and Petco!

Josh and I thought we would surprise Danny with a little present, to make him feel better.

A suspicious looking present yes...

OMG!

'Tis a mouse!

We named him Buster.

He promptly urinated and pooped everywhere.

Oh how we love Buster.

Joshy wanted to clean his little ball, since it was covered with feces and urine. So we went into the bathroom of Target and proceeded to give him a little mousebath.

All the people who walked in or by thought we were nuts. It was kind of funny.

Oh and then Danny almost puked because micepoop smells y'all!

Anyway, 6 hours later, after being sent to a Volvo dealership to find a part, and then having to install it ourselves...

We got back on the road.

And then 5 hours after that we were back in LA at like 2am.

We had said the whole time that we were rescuing Buster (he was for sure going to be purchased to be fed to some awful snake or something) and we were going to give him a better life in Beverly Hills...kind of like what Madonna does with all those African babies...

So we brought him home with us...and then set him free!

Run free Buster, run free!

(Within seconds, it became apparent that Buster had no survival instincts whatsoever. We're pretty certain he froze to death that first night. Or was eaten.)

God Bless You Buster!

Vegas: Day Two

We started Day 2 (and by "started the day" I mean I was ready to leave my room about the time the sun was beginning to set) at Vegas's newest addition: CityCenter.

In particular, The Chandelier bar at the Cosmopolitan.

The best way to describe this place is as a giant crystal treehouse.

It's like 3 or 4 floors, with all these nooks and landings all draped in crystal chandelier. Pictures can't even begin to capture the size and beauty of the thing.

The boys had a head start and were already wastedface and munchie-bound.

So we ended up at Earl of Sandwich.

From there we bought "roadies" (Vegas has no open-container laws, yay.)

Did $3 Patron shots.

And then bought Four Lokos. Bad idea.

From there, we left Planet Hollywood...

And went back to the Palms to pregame (as if that were really necessary) for the night.

Adventuring with professional bartenders is both good and bad. The drinks are always yummy. But they keep coming. And coming.

From there we rushed back to Planet Hollywood, where Jordan had gotten us free front row tickets to see Vegas: The Show.

It was this variety show featuring lots of hot people singing and dancing.

More roadies...

And a buddha belly rub for good luck...

And then Jordan had also hooked us up with open bar wristbands at some semi-shady club called Piranha...

It was a sh*tshow...

And then at midnight a backroom disco opened up featuring lots of gogo dancers...

Yoinks!

We made a new friend - Mike the Cuban.

And proceeded to stalk him all night long.

Um that's all.

The End.

Next I'll tell you all about our pet mouse.
