iChat is basically video chatting, but it is soooo smooth, it has been enhanced to include green-screenish features where you can superimpose yourself on a background, you can share videos and images, and it basically just revolutionizes long-distance communication.
AC and Shiri literally leave it on and start a DVD in their respective rooms (she's at Princeton, he's in Austin) and watch together as if they were in the same room. (Also I bet they have videosex.)
AC and I video chatted from across the room from each other.
