I just sleeped and sleeped and sleeped.
Finally we went to lunch at the Jockey Club cafeteria which features foods from all countries. Very yum. Good for head relieving.
After that, Dad drove us all over HK Island. We hit Repulse Bay, then headed over to Sai Kung which is a major seaside community kind of like Venice Beach...but with so many more Asians.
Lots of seafoods to be bought and eaten.
Some random family really wanted their picture taken with me.
The bandana-headed boy also went up to Anne and gave her a huge hug. It was really funny. Weird. But funny.
Then we went up to Fei Ngo Shan, where our old house used to be.
They had a new guard at the gate, so we couldn't go into the community to see what had been done to the house, but we went higher up into the mountains where we used to hike and stuff.
Pretty views.
Finally we met up with Zoe and the rest of the fam for a huge dinner.
Zoe recapped her day's adventures and showed off some Australian cash she had found.
Dinner was awesome.
Dumplings...
String beans with minced pork...
Barbecued spare-ribs.
Fried tofus in sauce...
Sweet and sour fish thing...
And mmmmmm peking duck...
And then Fried Rice Cake...
Followed by duck soup.
And assorted desserts.
For Zoe's dessert, I think she ate the little sugar packet we told her not to eat...
...because she was being extremely talkative, going on and on about her favorite Disney and Barbie movies.
Some funny excerpts:
DK: (To Uncle Dick) "So have you ever watched Zoe's Barbie Movies?"
Uncle Dick: "No. I have not."
DK: (jokingly) "What?!?! What kind of father are you? You have no idea what kinds of messages they could be sending to little kids."
Uncle Dick: "Yes I do. 'BUY. MORE. BARBIES.'"
Felix: "What's the other Barbie Movie called?"
Zoe: "The Curse of Courage."
Anne: (wistfully, without missing a beat) "...the story of my life..."
