In the grand scheme of things...life ain´t that bad.

I just read Goony's blog where she wrote about the Facebook perhaps selling to Yahoo for $1 billion.

I turned my head and looked at Tee.

"Teebags. Oh my god."

"I know. I have friends who have equity holdings in that."

"Me too. But. But. But. Why didn´t I do computer science??? What are we doing with our lives?!?!?"

"Dude. We´re in Buenos Aires."

True.

True.

Arrival: Buenos Aires

So I got an exit row seat from LAX to Houston, no problem.

I got to Houston and the 10-hour flight to Buenos Aires was booked full.

As soon as I got out of the plane I made a beeline for the first Continental ticket agent I saw, a rotund dirty-blonde with saggy features and horrid makeup.

"Hi...how are you...I was wondering if there´s any way you could possibly help me get an exit row seat."

She looked up lazily. "I´m sorry sir. It´s a completely full flight..."

"I´m just worried that I might not fit in the seat."

"Well...I´ve checked in Yao Ming before, and he was flying coach, and if he can fit, I´m pretty sure you´ll be fine," she replied with a slow-blink which is basically the professional equivalent of rolling your eyes.

I was like "Bitch, Please."

But I guess you can´t really argue with the Yao...

I sprinted to the gate where people were already boarding and begged the lady there to just put me on a list. Any list. Just write my name down on some paper. She said fine and scribbled down my name on a napkin. 5 minutes later I had an exit row seat. Nice...

..................................

Tee picked me up at the airport. We went back to her apartment. Took a nap. And went to lunch at 3pm at a cute little yummy place.

We ate a giant bowl of french fries avec mayo.

Then I had saffron rice topped with lamb tenderloin.

All prices here are the same as the US, but cheap. For instance the lamb tenderloin-rice thing would be $24 in the US, here it´s 24 pesos...which is 8 dollars.

We just went shopping.

And now we´re internetting.

This is going to be fantastic week.

My Life as a WoW character.

So I lived in the World of Warcraft for the past two-ish weeks.

I'm not ashamed.

It is totally epic.

Here are some scenes from my life:

Check out my pretty new clothes!!!

Yes, they are pretty, but I prefer to be naked.

Check out my ride.

Doug (AKA Freshsauce) and I double-team a hottie.

Dancing with a bear beast and a variety of other fools.

I saw this babe (Babygal) running through the woods and chased her through Elwynn Forest, until she finally agreed to join me.

Hot couple, eh?

Chris P. (AKA Restoninja) and I share a passionate embrace.

Begging my true love for forgiveness. "It meant nothing!!!!"

Stay tuned for more adventures!

I'm off to Buenos Aires!

I heart Jim Halpert...

Last night we went to the BUEG Conversation thing with John Krasinski from the Office.

He IS Jim. A little more confident and talkative and out-going perhaps, but he is his character.

He was so nice, and so funny, and Rach, Bri, Kate, and Naia, and myself a little bit, were front-row center and giggling our silly little asses off at every little thing he had to say. We have no shame. Well...maybe enough shame to know that it would have been super tacky to ask for a photo. Especially since he might one day be my best friend. (Along with Jen Aniston, of course.)

We did, however take a super-dorky anticipatory picture...

Even odder though, Masi Oka (below, far left), who has organized these little BUEG (Brown University Entertainment Group) conversations for the past four years, has just gotten huge break, being cast on NBC's mega-hyped new fall show, HEROES.

He'll be the little Japanese dude who can stop time!

It's really kind of incredible and inspiring to see these guys get these enormous breaks at such young ages and be still so in love with their Brown experience.

I can't wait to be on that BUEG stage in a few years.

Thieving Gay Fucker...

I would just like to say to the fuckface who stole my ATM card last night and proceeded to spend $450 at assorted West Hollywood bars/restaurants such as East/West and the Abbey that you are going die a horrible screaming death.

Karma is a bitch and I'm sorry in advance for the horrific gay-bashing/car accident/STD that is about to befall you.

Yes, I shouldn't have been an idiot for leaving my ATM card in the machine. But normally ATMs eat left cards and thus, this guy must have been standing right in line behind me, seen my left card, and quickly without even hesitating taken my card with the intention of going on his little drinking spree.

You are bad person and terrible things happen to terrible people.

The world is small...houses are big...

So Glen, Kristy's ex, invited me to go to this charity event up in Tarzana that he was catering.

Attendance was a could hundo a person, so the chance to attend a fancy little function with delicious food for free, well, it was a no-brainer.

The estate where the event was being held was MASSIVE. Pictures really can't convey the size of it.

It was super sweet. Glen seems to have "made it". Not necessarily an A-list event (the most famous people there were girls from Deal or No Deal.) (And Steven Segal.)...

But it was definitely real cool.

Most randomly though, I bumped into my old Deerfield buddy Textor, who I probably haven't seen in almost six years. Textor's girlfriend Stephanie is best friends with Emily who is engaged to Nick who is Glen's (Kristy's ex) business partner/co-chef. Follow that? Totally random.

Even more random is that Tex was only visiting for the day from San Francisco. And he was staying with his cousin Julie, who is also a Brown alum and who hosted the last BUEG Conversation Series (tomorrow's host: John Krasinski) because she's the star of Boston Legal and is a little bit famous (she was also the babe in Happy Gilmore).

Another random coincidence was that bartending at the event was another Andrew, who I recognized as one of Bjoern's former clients and who is also good friends with Wally from working at East/West.
So much random coincidence-ness.

Tex is awesome and, well, still so cute...

GOOD Party

I officially have the worst hangover of 2006.

....................................

It started with the pizza.

And then the shots...

And then the heading downtown for the launch of GOOD Magazine, the latest offshoot of the Reason Pictures empire.

(Subscribe and your $20 subscription fee goes straight to a charity of your choice.)

The party was held at a cathedral downtown.

It all felt kind of sacrilegious what with all the making out in confessional booths and drunken debauchery.

Free beer = the devil, as evidenced by the satanic-looking bartendress.

It was a serious Brown festival.

Oh yes, and there was double-fisting.

And pseudo-dancing. (Hard to dance when you are totally and completely stumblingly shitfaced.)

And Taku was in town!!!!

Thank you to whoever held my hair back for this picture.

And then we got locked out.

Ryan's B'day @ Q's

Pregaming began at Matt and Kristy Jewett's (my first married-couple friends) (So weird) (I am old).

The party then moved over to Q's where typical drunken shenanigans took place.

There was a brawl in the upstairs bar which was pretty sweet...

Birthday Boy seduced a cutie for a change. (See: Slut Hunting)

(The head-petting trick always seals the deal.)

Some random chick posed in a picture with us.

And finally we went home, where Kristy made the foods...

And Matt the starving squirrel ate the foods...

And promptly passed out.

But just as I was going to eat the delicious foods off the delicious squirrel-boy, he promptly came to life...

"Wait! Wait! I'm still eating!"

Damn.
