I just saw a crazy skinny hairy black homeless walking up Broadway holding four brand new Abercrombie and Fitch shopping bags (you know, the ones with hot shirtless models on the sides) making erratic machine-gun hand-motions coupled with saliva spray and farting noises coming from his mouth. It was so strange.
At one point he turned and started moving toward me and I squealed and scurried across the street.

Spring Awakening!
Ahh...the theater.
So wonderful.
So New York.
So damn expensive.

Happily, there is a powerful little man who has a crush on me.
As such, we got ridiculous seats for $0.00.

Prior to the show we had an hour to kill. So, we made a duck friend...

Hit up the Olive Garden...

Had a dinner buffet (bad idea) and drinks at the revolving restaurant (awful idea) on top of the Marquis.

And finally hit the show.
............................................
The show...was entertaining...
All the songs were written by singer/songwriter and Brown grad Duncan Sheik. (He had the big 90's single "Barely Breathing" )

Honestly...I liked it...but...I didn't love it.
None of the songs really stood out or made me want to run home and dance around in my underwear and dry-hump my couch in a Rent/Hairspray kind of way.
The set was very simple and didn't change much.
There were few clothing changes.
And there was one dude who was always distractingly off during synchronized choreography sequences.
...........
There was, however, on-stage masturbation (with singing), nudity (if you count a bare ass and exposed little mosquito-bite boobs), and a song where they say "fuck" like 80 times.
.............
Not really the kind of show you'd want to bring grandma to.
(See: "Brokeback Mountain might night be suitable for grandparents...")

God-awful movie alert...
Heartbreak Kid.
Ben Stiller.

Awful movie.
I had low expectations so I laughed three or four times in the beginning.
Annoying blonde girl is SO annoying.
Ben Stiller has not made good movies since Zoolander.
Farellys have not made good movies since Something About Mary.
Except Shallow Hal.
Oh wait. Gwyneth as an obese... No. That was terrible.
I am looking forward to Tropic Thunder though.
Also I am looking forward to Spring Awakening. We're going tonight.

Chill NYC Weekend
Sorry it's been a while.
I've been in NYC for several weeks now and I've kind of settled into a routine.
Normally I'm only here for a week at a time so I've got to go out, see everyone, and do everything within a few days. It's always fun-central and there's always stuff to report.
But now that I'm living here, I'm totally boring.
I eat. Work out. Meet clients. Eat. Do the occasional shoot. Play poker. Meet gays. Rent a movie. Eat.
There hasn't been anything particularly blogworthy to report.
I know you miss me though. I know you are just sitting there clicking "refresh" over and over waiting for me to update.
And I miss you too.
I don't want to disappoint you.
So.....how was your weekend?
Mine was great.
Pretty low-key.
MAO and I museum-hopped, first stopping by the Whitney...

...which featured several exhibits featuring the works of Buckminster Fuller...
...and a giant pleather sandwich.

Then we hit up the Met for the Superheroes exhibit (no cameras allowed).

The Met is really beautiful.

................
Felix's sister Vitri was in town with her new fiance Jordan.
(The engagements are neverending.)

We had some awesome Italian.

Drank beer towers and bowled...

And hit up some rando parties where there were lots of rando Brown people...

So yeah. You see? Not super blog-worthy.
Fun for me. "Meh..." for you.
.....................
Gotta love those Bhandaris though.
They will rule the world.

Another day, another engagement.
Back to NY
Supercuts just dropped me off at the airport.
But not before we hit up Alejo's.

Super cheap. Super big. Super garlicky awesome Italian food.

Oh. Bugger. I just realized that a cast picture for Supercuts is long overdue. Sorry bud. Will work on that ASAP.

Pool Party
Imran's friend invented a new energy drink: The Slump Buster.

It's way better than Red Bull and tastes like a lemon-lime-pineapple gatorade with a hint of a Mountain Dew.
Sweet. Flavorful. Mixes well with vodka. Hitting shelves soonishly.

We celebrated downtown at Imran's.

Im's mom prepared an Indian BBQ feast for us. All prepackaged and pre-marinated.
DERRICIOUS.

Back in LA
When I'm living in LA, I constantly book work in NY.
But since I've been living in New York, things have been slow and most my bookings have come from LA.
Weird.
I'm not complaining. Just weird.
So...I came back to LA this week for a series of shoots.
Which is good because I have missed everyone.

We went to the Abbey...

Visited JayK at Felix.

Drank epic mojitos and sangria...

And gay-danced the night away...

I ruv u JayK...
