Just kidding.

Not my Lexus...

Graffiti

So generally I'm of the school of thought that "grafitti is bad and the silly hoodlums who tag shit are bad and should all be thrown in juvie..."

But as I was walking around Chinatown yesterday I discovered a rare work of brilliance.

Everyone who walked by and noticed it would smile.

It was really cute.

Hell. You could tag my Lexus with that shit and it'd be cool.

Dr. Dan gets hit by a drunk driver.

I arrived in NY and checked my voicemail last night.

Apparently Dan's car was totaled after being hit by a drunk driver.

I called him immediately.

"Are you OK?????"

"Yeah. We were asleep."

"????"

"Oh. Our car got hit while parked on the street."

"HAHAHAHAHA."

"Wait. Was it a hit and run?"

"Well...it was a 22-year-old driving a Jaguar. His car was totaled too. He tried to run but the neighbors caught him and dragged him back."

"That is INCREDIBLE."

"It wasn't even his car. The last name on the registration was different from his."

"Someone's parents are going to be PISSED."

"Haha."

"Nice work. Ok bye."

"Byeeeee."

"Wait! Did you take pictures?"

"Of course."

"That's not TOTALED...I imagined much worse. It's just like.......missing a wheel......or something."

NIIIIIICE.

Dr. Dan

I was never one of those kids who played "Doctor" when I was little.

I created a few fake feasts and led a couple of dinosaur expeditions through my backyard...I even chased some girls around the playground, tackled them, and tore off their skirts...but never did I have the desire to pretend to be a physician or patient.

Today, however, that all changed.

I went over to Dan's to do laundry as he was studying for his final exams. As part of his final he would need to perform a routine physical examination on a patient.

He needed a subject to practice on.

I excitedly volunteered.

Dr. Dan measured my blood pressure, used his stethoscope to listen to my heart and lungs from the back and front, checked my reflexes and all other vitals. He even evaluated my psychological well-being.

Everything checked out and we both passed our respective tests.

The examination stopped abruptly (with screaming) though when Dr. Dan began reaching for my scrotums.

New computer!

Since I'm going back to NYC for the second time in two weeks, I decided that I am now officially bicoastal and therefore need a new laptop.

Yay!

Lambchops @ The Viceroy

So the Viceroy is this super swanky, very Hollywood-like hotel in Santa Monica. It feels kind of like the Standard, with overly dressed up people milling about the lobby and its adjacent bars/pool.

Alec invited us over for a little birthday party he was hosting for his roommate Judd.

When these boys throw a party they go all out. There's always plenty to eat and drink.

This was no exception.

Upon our arrival, the Grey Goose was waiting for us.

Before long succulent Kobe Beef Mini Burgers and Seared Ahi Tuna bites arrived.

The Ahi disappeared quickly.

And then came the lambchops.

Really it was kind of an odd food choice for a party. Only one or two people nibbled at a lambchop here and there. But still, it was kind of sweet.

We drinked and met some cool peeps.

And then came cupcakes, both Chocolate and Red Velvet (so hot right now).

Good times all around.

Penguino's two cents...

FTPenguino: it was good times
FTPenguino: and there were some good peeps on hand
FTPenguino: and the bud select was flowing like champagne
FTPenguino: fyi your blog post gives a good point of comparison for harvard kids vs. brown. My question to you... which are sweeter?
Kwanzaaa: BROWNNNNNN
FTPenguino: soooo true

GOOD Party - Vanguard

Good Magazine held yet another incredible party last night, this time at Vanguard in Hollywood.

Inside, there was a totally lame band with a shrieking girl singer chick.

Outside, there was a totally sweet garden patio partyspace which featured No Shrieking...

...cute boys...

...media moguls...

...and pseudo-celebs like The Daily Show's Demetri Martin.

Also there was a photobooth which provided countless minutes of fun.

Good Magazine is the best!!!!

Brown Mixer - Lola's

Hello oh by the way it was very hard this morning to move around/drive to pick up Rachael's very cool friend Julia and be enjoyable and nice without almost vomiting all over the world.

But it worked out.

Ouy...

Last night was fun.

It started out with some sweet apps.

And dirty martinis...

(Oh and those fried things in the foreground? Onion rings.)

Martinis, martinis everywhere.

Rachie was double-fisting...

Reality stars of the past were on hand...

As well as their very cute (and tall) friends...

Overall I think it was a success...

Afterwards I went with Annie and Tatyana to Forty Deuce...

And I totally passed out in the middle of a strip show with a stripper's erm...i mean....."burlesque dancer's" (but really she's just a stripper) ass in my face.

Snoring.

Niiiiiice.

Halo 3 Launch

Annie invited me to the Halo 3 Launch party last night at Quixote Studios.

They did a great job of making the place look super sweet with bars, food, and big gaming stations everywhere.

The game, however, is decidedly NOT sweet.

We got aced every 20 seconds or so.

However, upon exiting...

...these ladies were given a free XBox 360!

I can't wait to be famous.

Annie and Tatyana's Photoshoot

Them girls is so hot.

In the middle of our shoot, Eva Longoria drove by in a Range Rover.

(I proceeded to walk into a telephone pole...)

More Partybus

A couple extra gems thanks to Barry.
