Rainy NYC

Apparently it's been raining all week here in NYC.

New Yorkers kind of hate it and say they can't wait for summer.

But after living in California for 4 years, where every day is bright, beautiful, and boring, you kind of come to appreciate the change in seasons that you once took for granted living on the East Coast.

Also in California when it does rain it is dirty and acidic and will probably burn a hole in your face.

It's been a good week.

My clients this week have for the most part all been awesome and good-looking and really fun and easy to work with.

Sometimes I go through a week of stiff, awkward, deluded, awful-looking people and I can't get shots that look up to par and start questioning my abilities.

But then I shoot a talented and good-looking person and I'm like. Oh. It's totally not me. It takes two people produce a sweet photo.

I love my job.

I love New York.

Excited to spend the summer here.

Also...

I love hot people.

Long Beach...is still the wrong beach...

DannyR. texted me this morning saying he wanted to go check out Long Beach Pride.

I wasn't really doing anything except sitting around waiting for some foolio to return my phone call, so I said yeah let's go.

We went down to Club Ripples where they were serving $2 beers and $3 vodka drinks.

Beachside bar? Very pretty.

Long Beach locals? Not so pretty.

There was, however, a free taco buffet.

And an Amani clone.

Everyone was really nice and friendly. It was a fun time.

But a few hours in the LBC is more than enough.

We watched the pretty sunset and then retreated to the big bad city.

Gay Marriage -> WastedFace

Went to the Abbey last night with two of the most beautiful boys I know to celebrate the wonder that is Gay Marriage in California.

Kevvo wasn't drinking. Hot Danny kept buying him drinks. Hot Danny is the best wingman ever. Kevvo handed all his drinks off to me.

I got sloppy.

Stumbling, swaying, loud, obnoxious, sloppiness. It was a bad scene.

I feel a sense of dumbassed-ish-ness.

How the hell is Kevvo so damn cute.

Celebrity Sightings!

We were planning to go to Hamburger Mary's yesterday for dinner.

But as I rounded the corner looking for parking, I noticed the paparazzi everywhere.

Turns out there was some kind of big gay celeb-studded event going on at Mary's.

Saw RexLee who plays Lloyd on Entourage.

Also saw Jesse from Workout. (So cute.)

Presents!

Bobby gave me the sweetest gift yesterday.

A shirt...

...that once belonged to Tom Welling!

(It very well might have been a lie to get rid of an ugly shirt that he no longer wanted, but I do know that Bobby does, in fact, know Tom Welling...)

.....................

Also Anne sent me a sweet Spice Girls yo-yo the other day.

Thank you both!

Double your pleasure. Double your funnnnnn.

I just have to say that I am obsessed with Chris Brown's new song and video "Forever".

Last night, Wes organized a private screening of this campy film "Mommie Dearest" (famous for its No Wire Hangers scene) in honor of Brian's birthday.

It was cute. There were like 20 of us in the theater.

Afterwards we headed down the street to "The Room" (sister bar perhaps to The Other Room in Venice?) to dance around and drink ourselves silly.

This was of course followed by late night dining.

Shortly after ordering, Annie and Taty's friend passed out at the table...

And so, we feasted. Double.

Celeb Sighting!

So I was walking around Rodeo today trying to get rid of this $100 Sharper Image gift certificate Gooma gave me for Christmas. (The store is totally useless and everything is overpriced and poorly designed and you walk in looking for something, ANYTHING, to spend your hundred dollars on and you can't because everything either suck sucks sucks, is overpriced by exactly $100, or is a massager/meat thermometer.)

Anyway. Yes. I was on Rodeo. Walking out of the Guess store. And came face to face with Jordana Brewster.

She's a Yalie.

And a halfie.

And stunningly beautiful.

Google Earth is SO COOL

I've known about Google Earth but I have never used it myself.

It is SO cool.

The world. Literally at your fingertips.

.................................

I started at home.

Within seconds I was in the south of France.

And then...at my grandma's house in Hong Kong!

IRON MAN!!!!

Saw Iron Man last night.

It is really frickin' awesome.

I had zero expectations and seriously was on the edge of my seat and had my jaw dropped in awe for most of it.

I hear it made $100 mill the first weekend. Definitely deserved.

Speaking of Iron Man, I've been doing The Plank and it is really hard and good and strengthening my core and hopefully one day I will be Iron Asian Man.

Coming soon: FRANCE!!!!

I am impulsive.

I am easily persuaded by kind words and lovely people.

Heidi has been calling and emailing me daily to get me to go pseudo-backpacking in France with her and her friend Claudia as they make their way from Paris to Rome.

(Originally a trip was planned for June but things fell apart and the original plan kind of got scrapped. (Probably for the best since I was hoping to stop spending so much money.))

But they promised fun. And drinking. And beauty. And laughter. And fun.

And I can never resist an epic adventure because, well, life is just too short and you could die in an earthquake next week.

So...I caved and booked tickets.

We leave in less than three weeks. Right after Campus Dance.

It is going to be AWESOME.

Holiday Time in Mexico!

Jay was all sad-face because some crazy bitch was being mean to him.

So, we decided to take him out and cheer him up. After all, it was Cinco de Mayo!

We hopped over to the Abbey, now just three blocks from our sweet apartment.

It was all done up Mexico-style...

Little Music Mexicans strummed happy little classics like La Cucaracha...

Twirling gymnastic gogoboys performed twirling magical trickery...

And we welcomed a new Brownie to the neighborhood.

6'3" Volleyball Superstar JessieCooper has just relocated from the O.C..

It is nice to have talls to talk to in crowded bars. Very few people understand our plight.

I foresee much tall funnery in our future.

Her tranny twin was also good fun...

...but not as fun as the MunishChitkara/KeanuReeves hybrid that is Kev, the cutie I have had the teeniest little megacrush on as of late.

Baby Oliver is born!

Charleen gave birth yesterday to Baby Oliver!!!!

(I'm so glad they decided to name him Oliver because I was going to call him that anyway and if it didn't end up being his real name he just would have been very confused.)

Labor took all of 1 1/2 hours. Literally popped him out.

Baby Leo has a brother!

Yay!!!!!
