My how quickly things can change.

This weekend had been one of the best ever, but at 9pm Sunday evening, things were not happy in the world of Eggfurious.

I had had a photo shoot today that I think I rushed because I came very close to running out of light and I didn't feel like I had my A-game on when I seriously should have because the girl was stunning...like a Cindy Crawford/Eva Mendes/Anne Hathaway/Jessica Simpson hybrid with brainnnnns.

Then, having just come from a delightful lets-talk-about-the-impending-divorce Italian dinner with the family (quite possibly our last) featuring screaming, crying, and a little more screaming, I was hoping to get my hug on with a special boy but that didn't really work out. Whatever. I'm over it.

Kind of.

Not really.

But at that point I very briefly considered hurling myself into an oncoming train. (Not really.) (But kind of.)

Or at least curling up into a ball of meatball-eating obeseness.

I felt depressed. Deeply depressed. And lonely. And I hardly ever feel that way.

Happily though, a light opened up from the heavens when I got a call from Anne, who wanted me to come up to the Upper West Side and hang out.

It was really wonderful. We shot the shit for a good hour or two, drank several Blue Moons, and I went home once again a happy, optimistic person.

I love people. I love good people. And I love good ridiculously good-looking, warm-spirited people.

I mean who could ever feel depressed with this beautiful face smiling upon you?

Epic NYC night.

Some days you just wake up feeling and looking kind of ehhh....

But with a little help from friends...

Poof!

You can be all pretty again in minutes!

(Even though you might still be dying inside.)

Yesterday started with a photo shoot.

I then went to Sandra's new "apartment" to grab dinner with her and Cousin Jon (Hello Jonathan, you silent non-commenting blog viewer).

In my mom's words, "she calls it the penthouse, but it's really the attic..."

Terrifying?

Slightly...

Following dinner, we headed over to Toddy G's, site of The New Years 2006 White Party/Vomit Spectacular, for some Beirut...

Couples abounded, new and old.

Isn't Megoon's new beau the cutest???

Me likey.

Chris Y. and I bid the group adieu in order to Splash Bar it for a bit since that is the home of our typical crazy fun. But the pickins were slim, so while Chris slutted it up with a random, I rejoined the crew for some insanely epic Karaoke.

Toddy G proved himself to be Karaoke King.

And then a classic showstopper came on...

And before we knew it, we had the entire bar singing...

It was totally sweet.

And the real fun begins...

AC and Shiri arrived in from Texas late Thursday night.

We wandered the city while the working people worked and found THE MOST delicious meatball sandwich ever for $4.95 (also known as TREASURE)...

Visited Times Square...

Where AC channeled Masi Oka (from Heroes).

Later in the evening, Kris and Heidi showed up.

Heidi accompanied me to this little dinner gala my Mom was invited to to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries of some NY society family...

There was an open bar and free Patron shots (served as a triple-shot in a wine glass).

We took full advantage.

Then we headed to Sway, the site of Tee's and my epic adventure the night I broke my head open, to celebrate Steph's birthday!

This time, however, we stood in line for a good hour before we got in.

Happiness that did not make the Kwan. Or the Heidi.

But the boys bought lots of drinks.

And there was dancing.

And more drinking.

And then someone lovely guided me home (Heidi was that you?).

Beer, Wine, Goons and CRC

Last night was my long-awaited reunion with MEGOOOOOOOOON.

Also along for the ride was Mr. Nicolas.

Mr. Nicolas insisted on several fried and cheesy appetizers...

There was not much protest.

After $2 beers, free wine carafes, a vermouth-cassis (?), vodka tonics, Patron shots, a pitcher of Sangria (all Nick), and watching several of the sex scenes from Match Point (????), some of us were feeling a little hammered...

It was a good way of kicking off what is going to be a pretty epic weekend.
