Impromptu B.O.T.

Brown kids converged on Q's last night and we ended up having a little Blackout Thursday action without even planning it.

As usual we messed with Doug's game a little...

And Chris continually demonstrated his ability to ruin a perfectly good photo.

And helloooooo! I think I know where you'll find us next Tuesday...

Does TL not have the sweetest ass?

The Apocalypse is here.

Grease: You're the One that I Want is an ACTUAL SHOW on NBC in PRIMETIME that leads into The Apprentice.

First off, remember how I was like the only male person in America under the age of 35 who actually taped the show?

Well...not only did I tape it...

....

...I watched it.

....

And it's not pretty.

....in fact, it's kind of a disaster.

Like a helicopter accident where the chopper crashes but the rotors keep turning and slicing up everyone and everything in their path, but people don't die, no, they don't die, they just keep flailing and bleeding and screaming and because of all the horror and horrendousness you just have to keep watching.

You can't avert your eyes.

Even for a second.

.......

It is because of this that I was able to notice that NatFlatt, one of my first headshot clients EVER, is on the show!

There are more reality stars in this town than there are real people.

They haven't yet referred to him by name or christened him with his own lower 3rd, but he's in the show, and he's made it through several rounds into "Grease Academy".

Grease Academy. I said it.

Yes.

We are all already dead.

And in hell.

Turban on the Apprentice!!!

I spoke too soon about the best new show of the season being In Case of Emergency.

Yes that is a good show, but the premiere of The Apprentice: Los Angeles was by far the most exciting season opener ever, probably because TimUrban is on it, but also because it takes place in this tiny little town we now call home.

Tim came off looking like a superstar. He kept his cool and spoke eloquently, yet not excessively (a key skill that is so often overlooked by firees). Also he looked hot. Or as the Boston Globe called it, "deep fried sex on a plate".

-------------------------

Also I also TiVoed Grease: You're the One That I Want.

I know you did too.

...Maybe?

Or...at least thought about it?

........

Please tell me I'm not the only one.

Why do I volunteer this kind of information?

Best New TV Show

I don't know if anyone noticed, but sitcoms lately have sucked some major ass.

I mean...seriously? Two and a Half Men?

Well, my friends, the wait is over. Yes, many still mourn the loss of Arrested Development and are now thoroughly enjoying The Office...but really, how do they expect us to survive on just one dose of funny per week?

Remember the days when we could watch Seinfeld, Friends, Will & Grace, and...erm...Suddenly Susan...all in one night???

Well, perhaps In Case of Emergency could be the beginning of something beautiful.

Exec Produced and Directed by Jon Favreau (Swingers) it features an unlikely ensemble cast of veteran comedic actors who alone would appear to be has-beens, hardly capable of anchoring a hip new show; but together somehow pull off comedic brilliance.

The pilot airs again Friday (tonight) on ABC.

I mean who ever thought that The Single Guy could actually have a shot at a career again?

Wisteria Lane and other adventures

Dan and I, both having the day off, decided to head up to Universal since he had a special hookup through school.

We were taken on a tour of Wisteria Lane (the set of Desperate Housewives), where we saw Felicity Huffman's house...

Teri Hatcher's house...

And of course, Eva Longoria's fancy house.

Also we were shown the set of War of the Worlds...

And we rode through Jurassic Park on a boat.

Also we played in the Nickelodeon Splash Factory.

And some other assorted little weirdisms...

I love California.

NEW YEARS 2007!!!!

Preparations started with some stomach cushioning at Pili's Tacos, which I have never been to sober. It actually is more delicious sober.

Or maybe I was just really really HONGRY.

Of course pregaming would not be pregaming without, well, pregaming...

And a little dragon dance...

(We stopped in at Chaya in Beverly Hills to wish Meredith a happy birthday.)

Dragon! Rarrr!

And of course Meredith made us really strong vodkie/tonics that I just knew I was going to regret but could not resist drinking. Three of.

We got to the party at Ben's house, high up in the hills, where drinking was in full-swing.

It was a verrrry happy new year.

Jungle Juice is the devil.

I blacked out and do not remember the following:

At 5:13am I awoke on the couch, still at Ben's.

Everyone was gone or asleep. All the lights had been turned out. It was pitch black.

I was filled with horror. I was THAT GUY who passed out at the party.

My designated driver had abandoned me. Katie and Diana were sound asleep outside in their car.

I so didn't want to be THAT GUY in the morning. I had to get out.

So...I pulled a Eugene and stumbled down Benedict Canyon in the dark.

It's not the shortest walk...

In fact, I think I may have beat Eugene trek home from WeHo in total number of miles traveled.

I'm glad you all made it into 2007!!!
