Year 4 of 4...

Campus Dance
Friday | May 23, 2008

It's hard to believe we've been out of college for four whole years.

FOUR YEARS.

We could have gone through college all over again.

And we did so much in those four years. Met so many incredible people.

Found our friends. Found our loves. Found ourselves.

I guess these past four years have been pretty crazy and exciting as well.

But those first four were SO life changing.

And so it is with this annual weekend that we return and commemorate the wonder that is an d was and will forever be Brown University.

..............

Heidi was wearing hot metallic strapless hotness.

We prepartied at Heidi's. Getting all excited for our upcoming trip to France.

And then, it was off to the Main Green.

At Campus Dance it is notoriously difficult to find your friends. But part of that fun is running into other people you hadn't planned on seeing.

30,000ish babed-out smartpeople stumbling around in pseudo-darkness.

One of the first people I bumped into was fellow WeHo-er JessieCooper.

Then, of course, I found M.A.O. and friends.

Australian Alistair had sent Chelsea up with a bottle of champagne, so she broke that open and the real party started.

The usual suspects were all present.

And of course, there's Team MVP T.O. who has been to Campus Dance almost every year and didn't even go to Brown.

The bars were chaos...

So we stockpiled beverages...

Felix vomited a little...

But rallied quickly.

Epic. As usual.

See if you can spot three randoms in the picture below all making the same wastedface:

Solution:

So there you have it.

Year 4.

Great time. No momentous fake-proposals or insane wastedface debauchery...

...but next year. Five year reunion. Is going to be OFF THE HOOK.

NYC Friday Night

Started off with incredible dinner at Paprika in the East Village with TL and Anne.

Imagine delicious saffron risotto rolled up and fried and then dipped in sweet tomato puree.

Risotto balls. Yum.

Lamb ragu. So good.

Dessert custard thing. Oh god.

Then we went pregaming.

Long lost freshman year best friend Jack met up.

And we went to a little annual Christmas party hosted by crazy partyboy NickStocker.

And now we head upstate to T.O.'s house.

New Years 2006 - WINTER WHITE PARTY

New Years ended up being the most amazing night ever. Both Farshid, Munish, and I had all been deathly ill the day before but managed to recover in time for the Winter White Party.

It was amazing. West Coast/East Coast/Boston/Providence/DC...everyone was there.

It was an absolute shitshow. Drinking, eating, singing, dancing, champagne beer pong, sex in stairwells, and vomit vomit everywhere.

God. Where do we even begin?

We all got ready at Felix's...

Hopped on the train to Chelsea...

And showed up at Mark and Todd's.

Shrimps were waiting courtesy of Chef Ray.

The party kicked off with some Beirut.

Smershy, Goon, and their girlfriends showed up.

Everyone was looking great and festive. All decked out in white.

Certain people, of course, went out of their way to NOT wear white when it was explicitly stated that that was the theme of the party...

But whatevs. It was rad.

Yeebee was rocking some sweet Asian glow.

All our beautiful little friend groups mixed together.

The apartment got packed. Seriously ridiculously packed. Over the course of the night there must have been like 600 people there. And many people CLEARLY did not get the White theme memo.

People were DRUUUNK...

At one point, before we even did the countdown, some douche just sat down on the couch, leaned over, and puked his guts out.

Heidi was awesome.

She was like, "are you ok?"
And the dude was like, "uh...yeah."
And we all screamed in unison, "THEN GET THE F*CK OUT!!!!!"

What's even MORE gross though is that it was SO crowded in there that most people couldn't even see their feet. So people didn't notice the giant vomit puddle and shuffled right through it. Within five minutes all the vomit was GONE - distributed evenly throughout the room by disgusting shuffling feet.

And then we did the countdown.

5!!!!!!!!!!

4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!

(Kisses all around.)

Happiest new years ever.

And very very drunk.

God by the time people cleared out, it was such a mess.

The "party donation box" idea didn't go over so well...

And with that, we entered the Year 2006.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!!
