Boston -> DC

I flew up to Boston from New York on Tuesday to do an engagement shoot for this fabulous and super nice couple.

They rented a bunch of dresses (including a wedding dress) for the shoot. It was pretty awesome. Kind of exhausting. But I would loooove to shoot their epic wedding in Beijing next year so I'm doing my best to make them happy happy happy.

While in Boston I stayed with Danald and CaseyCarson who is preggo and having their baby soon!

Wednesday I had lunch with JoeMorone...

Then we met with our app developer friend who is going to be designing the simple but brilliant iPhone app I came up with that is going to turn us into hundred-millionaires.

After our meeting I flew down to DC where I'm shooting some products for Smathers & Branson today and tomorrow.

It's always great to see the boys.

Peter (and Michelle) just sold their house in Georgetown and are moving out to San Francisco in 20 days where they are finishing renovations on the epic new home in Seacliff that they secretly purchased several months ago. (AC, I'm going to intro you guys so you can all be besties. #worlddomination)

They're also expanding S&B into a new office space which we used for the shoot today.

So many exciting things happening!

OK I will post about the epic week that was Engage14 while I'm on an airplane one of these days.

Flying back to New York tomorrow. Wedding in the Hamptons on Saturday. Wedding in New Jersey on Sunday. Flying to Barbados on Wednesday.

Boston!

The day after Campus Dance I cruised up to Boston to visit Lee and my long lost friend Nater who has just moved to Boston from Colorado.

Whenever I hang out with Lee we end up dancing around and then stuffing our faces with scary Chinese food.

Saturday night was no exception.

Yum yum yum

After getting back to NYC from New Orleans and decompressing for a day, I ended up in Providence in front of an awesome meatball dinner at Al Forno.

Afterwards I drove up to Boston to get Lee, my new Boston buddy, drunk for his birthday.

We had fun and several drinks at Estate.

But after Lee dropped his entire drink on my shiny semi-new clownshoes I figured he'd had enough.

So we left and went to Jade Garden in Chinatown for late night Chinafood.

Mapo tofu...dumprings...And lo mein.

Yum.

I went over to Vitri's, took a three-hour nap, and then it was off to Logan Airport to pick up Annie and friends who were flying in from LA for Rach's wedding.

Wheee!

Bawstin, the BHP, and a Deerfield celebrity sighting

I made it up to Boston in time to find Heidi packing some meat patties to make the most delicious burgers yummmmmmmm...

Two burgers and two bottles of wine later, Heidi was druuuuunk.

We ventured across the Common to the Beacon Hill pub with Dommerick and Eugene (Wong, from Deerfield).

Several hours and lots of double-fisting turned us into little wastoids.

The BHP was fun...small...crowded...I wasn't totally impressed.

Until, of course, it happened.

We were sitting around, the fun level having pretty much plateaued, when Euge noticed someone in the crowd behind me and remarked, "Didn't that guy go to Deerfield?"

I turned.

It was none other than Ian, quite possibly the most beautiful human to have ever set foot on the Deerfield campus.

And I know I joked about women around the world dropping their panties at mention of TimLoh's name...but seriously, at 6'5", with jaw-dropping good looks and a singing-voice to match, mention this boy's name to pretty much any Deerfield girl (or gay or pet or tree) and the undergarments would come flying.

Kris's Surprise Birthday

So I've been in Boston since Wednesday making preparations with Heidi to surprise Kris for his birthday.

The surprise worked and everyone (including Kris and Heidi's parents) flew out for the little surprise (Friday) and the big surprise (Saturday). Thanks to Heidi's meticulously brilliant planning, everything went off without a hitch and we managed to surprise unassumining Kris a total of four times. What Kris was expecting to be a a quiet, romantic weekend turned out to be totally sweet and crazy weekend.

Pictures to follow. Oh hoh hohohohoh they are soooo good.

Last Day in Boston | Heidi Kicks Ass

I spent the day at Borders at the Cambridgeside Galleria. Had a wonderful little steak and cheese lunch and read lots of interesting books.

I miss Los Angeles where many of my friends don't have normal jobs and are available to play during the day. (Boston doesn't seem to have too many actors, voiceover artists, or runway models). Also, Los Angeles is warm.

Heidi wanted to get Indian food for dinner. We picked up Ananda Lombaba and Dommerick and went over to the Kebab Factory for a delightful meal.

Also we found a person made of balloons.

Afterwards, we piled into Heidi's car to go watch the gays sing Karaoke. But it wouldn't start.

Tried it again....nothing.

(All this happens while we're shivering in 30-degree frigidness.)

And then, she appeared.

HeidiWendt, Superwoman.

Decked out in her white Ralph Lauren cable-knit sweater, camel-colored pea coat, white gloves, pearl earrings, and Burberry scarf, one could easily mistake her as a Park Avenue princess, but that would be wrong.

Heidi Wendt can kick some major ass.

Out of nowhere she pops the hood of her Explorer, checks all her fluids, twists a few knobs, darts back to her trunk, reappears with containers of radiator fluid and antifreeze, pours them in their respective receptacles, jumps back in the drivers seat, tosses her hair, and starts the car. And it works. Amazing.

Heidi also once fought off a pack of wild baboons while she was in Africa. No joke.
