Crapmona's - Round 1

Crapser and Carmona (Smersh coined the term "Crapmona") have new digs in West Hollywood!

Of course that called for celebration.

A lone cop showed up around 1ish, so ready to bust the party.

But he was easily charmed with a hug and a donut. (Seriously, there were donuts. And they were DELICIOUS.)

And the party continued...

(Could Little Miss Brendo perhaps rival her new roommate Her Royal Sketchiness ErinCrapser in terms of sketchiness?)

You be the judge:

Nope. I think Crappy McCrapperton still carries the torch.

Things I love about Culver City:

Enormous furniture showrooms...

$11.99 Coq Au Vin (rooster with wine)...

David Beckham staring at me from the window of The Framestore...

On the other side of the earth...

Matt writes from Spain:

hope your having fun in boring america!

Eh.....

I'd be jealous...

Except I know when to use "your" and "you're".

And also I'm ridiculously good-looking.

She's a maneater.

So Katie said, "I have tickets to Nelly Furtado. Wanna go?"

And Dennis said, "Uh...hello...did you even need to ask?"

Daydrinking with Dan-o

Dan finished his med school boards!

Now he gets to work in a hospital!

(We headed straight to the bar.)

People arrived.

Car bombs arrived.

Needless to say, the night ended early.

Crappy Art and Yummy Foods

TL and I went up to the Getty Center for some delicious food, which is pretty much all it's good for (the "art " pretty much always blows).

It was pretty packed.

Food included garlic fries.

Oh, I guess the sketching gallery is pretty cool.

TL and I, accomplished artists that we are, decided to have a literal face-off.

Our subject.

My beauteous sketch:

And TL's masterpiece:

I'm not sure what we've been doing all this time, but I think it's pretty clear that we should be paid to live at the Getty and eat garlic fries and create art for a living.

8-Hour Photoshoot

I shot these two women yesterday.

They were great.

Really really nice.

But they brought along their two "managers", a clothing stylist, a makeup artist, and another consultant friend.

We had a huge entourage everywhere we went. Pretty neat.

Time consuming. But neat.

I made the girl wear a bikini on the street while passers-by honked and bums hollered...

Also I'm in love with the new makeup artist Asaf that I'm going to start using whenever Lina is unavailable.

He pretty.

Happy Birthday Smershio!!!

Guilty pleasures

It's not a huge secret that I very much want to see the Celine Dion show before her contract ends in 2008.

(I'd say "I'm DYING to see it." But that would just be too gay.)

So I in effort to get the best possible seats...

I...

........

...joined Team Celine.

(Membership costs $25.)

It's not just a CONCERT, people!

Vegas with Taku

Went to Vegas for a night (for work, kind of) with Tak and his friend May (not a hoochie).

Aladdin is now Planet Hollywood!

Weird? Yes!

Cool? Kind of!

We started off at Slots A' Fun. You can't beat $1 blackjack...

Then we hit up the Bellagio Buffet.

Their Veal Osso Bucco (is that redundant? I think that's redundant.) was INCREDIBLE.

Following the buffet, we were feeling fat.

We stood in front of the Bellagio and watched the fountains for a full hour...

...until finally they played "My Heart Will Go On" which is the most beautiful fountain song ever.

(Fast forward to the climax at like 3:20 and imagine it being like 200,000,000 times bigger than how you're viewing it.)

Finally we were ready to start double-fisting.

We tried going to Ghost Bar on top of the Palms. But they wouldn't let Taku in with sandals.

So he and May swapped shoes and we went instead to Mix at TheHotel.

Pretty sweet. But not as sweet as when you're with the owner.

Everything was pretty much closed. It was a Tuesday night.

So we found ourselves pounding drinks in the lobby bar of Mandalay Bay as the elderlies danced to the sounds of Will Smith and Nelly Furtado.

The sweetness happened later after we decided to return (drunk) to the poker tables.

I was playing with $100 in chips (oh yes, I am a high roller) and was down about $60 after 3 hours.

With $40 left, I said "f*ck this" and headed over to blackjack.

I sat down at a full $10 table (so wasted at this point that I almost fell off the stool). Put all my chips in the little circlular betting area. Was dealt an ace and a jack. (Bringing me back up to $100 in chips) Smiled at the dealer. Said thanks. Wished the table luck. Took the money. And stumbled away.

Vegas is awesome.
