In seven days I will be commencing my big road trip back to the east coast.
In case I wasn't totally clear previosuly, I'm moving my base of operations to New York City.
The place has been beckoning me for a while. And, well, it's time for a change.
Don't get me wrong. I love Los Angeles. And I will return often. But I just feel a need to be in New York right now. I know it's where I'm meant to be at this point in my life. In the city at the center of the universe.
I will look upon these past five years in LA fondly. The amazing friendships it has brought me. The skills it has taught me. I'm self-employed! I have a dream job!
It really feels like I'm graduating from business school or something.
So anyway, I'm sure I'll get all mushy and cheesy this week and spend lots of time reflecting on the past five years.

Drive from Los Angeles to Las Vegas
Sunday, June 14
Drive from Las Vegas to Shiprock, NM (visiting my cousin Charmaine)
Monday, June 15
Shiprock, NM to El Paso to Austin, TX (15-hour maniacal driving day)
Tuesday, June 16
Austin, TX to New Orleans
Wednesday, June 17
Day of fun in New Orleans
Thursday, June 18
New Orleans to Atlanta
Friday, June 19
Atlanta to DC
Saturday, June 20
DC to NYC

The drive through New Mexico and parts of Texas are SO. BORING.
Can't wait to see you mothafucka!! Clearly my mom is prepared too...i just helped her unload approximately 20 bottles of wine from the car...
