Kevin's layover/Saturday Night Adventures

So Kevin, after a year in China, has officially caught Yellow Fever and has decided to spend an indefinite amount of time living in Korea teaching English and dating chicks with whom he can only communicate using the language of love.

(Kev was in LA on a 6-hour layover en route to Korea, so we headed straight to the bar to get him blacked out for his 14-hour flight.)

There were plenty of boobs and boob-bearers.

Abby got hit on by some loserface mougar.

And then I met this super goofy hot guy named Danny who I pushed over to Smershy.

They took an immediate liking to each other and it wasn't long before we were all kicked out of the bar and they were locked in a passionate embrace.

But the party doesn't end here.

As we headed home, Teresa called telling us about afterparty fun at her friend Lauren's place.

We headed over there and there were probably like 14 or so people. Not a crazy afterparty or anything. Just hanging out and more drinking. There was this one dude there though who was kind of cute.

I met him. We chatted a bit, and then he left to go to the bathroom, at which point everyone quickly crowded around me and in a loud whisper was like "DENNIS, CLAUDIA MET THAT BAR RANDOM AT NIKKI'S AND HE FOLLOWED US BACK HERE BECAUSE HE WANTED TO MEET YOU."

Flattering much?

Quite.

I was stunned.

This no-glasses thing is really working out.

We chatted. Flirted. Swapped digits. And then I cut out early to keep him wanting more.

An excellent night by all counts.

Until I got this text from Chris the next morning.

Smershy's 25th

Went down to Venice just before sunset to catch the girls looking all prettified.

Then it was on to Nikki's to get the festivities started.

Mmmmm...waffle fries with THREE dipping sauces.

(In ErinCrapser's words, "YES YES DERRRICIOUS")

We were all starving and very eager to chow down...

And to pound some alkies.

So excited, in fact, that Katie dropped a quesadilla in her first drink of the evening.

Little Smershio (in town for his big sis's b'day) entertained with funny impressions...

And some long lost friends showed up, all looking smiley and hot.

Even Kristy managed to rekindle her love of drink for an evening.

Deerfield kids Colin and Kate stopped by.

Colin speaks Chinese. And you know how I love me some white boys that love me some China. (I love you, Kevin Ferrone. )

These two aren't really used to being followed around by the paparazzi yet.

It was a drink-filled, food-filled, friend-filled blast.

The fun didn't last long though.

Nikki's closes at 1.

Luckily, Walter knew about some "afterparty". The kind where you walk in and the homeowner is in the living room with three friends and they all kind of glare at you with a look of who are you and why are you in my home.

Being a group about fifteen strong we kind of disregarded them and planted ourselves around the kitchen and dining room.

There were three beers in the fridge. Clearly no preparations had been made for this home to host an afterparty.

An hour later, William arrived with beer (after taking a pit stop on the way to 7-Eleven to help a drunk and bleeding woman escape from her overturned gasoline-soaked about-to-explode SUV.)

Beer makes everything better.

Birthday parties rule.

Happy Birthday my sweet little Smershio!

Pride 07

Due to the leisurely way everyone seemed to get it together yesterday morning, we missed the parade and didn't make it out to WeHo until about 1:30.

In Brian's words: "Worst. Gays. EVER."

We finally did make it though. And had a wonderful three-hour lunch at Sur on Robertson.

The Abbey was packed with daydrinkers.

So we popped over to Fiesta.

Happy Pride!

(In case you are wondering who the new hottie is it is our new friend/Katie's old friend Abby AKA Jennifer Connelly's prettier little sister.)

Saturday night

Me, Kristy, Kristy's work-friend Tayde, and Tayde's enormous arm-tattoo started off Saturday night at Eleven, the new really nice, really expensive restaurant/bar in West Hollywood to celebrate Kristy and Tayde's work-friend Chris's boyfriend Rob's 40th birthday. (Did you get all that? Did I screw up any possessives?)

All of Chris's friends were 30-something giant-bicep-ed shaven-headed gays. A very interesting crowd.

Kristy had two pomegranite margaritas and was drunk.

Very very drunk.

From there we went to a little Brown/Deerfield house party at Chrispy's friend Cushing's house.

Cushing happens to live with a Deerfield boy who dates a Brown girl so that somehow resulted in us knowing a whole lot of people, including Naia's random hot neighbors who were somehow also there and linked to Cushing which all in all resulted in a really good time.

Doug and Jay dominated the beirut table for most of the night.

Everyone else kind of just mingled and drank.

At one point some drunken randoms held a drunken party host as he did a keg stand, and dropped him ON HIS [really pretty] FACE.

An almost-fight almost broke out.

Good times.
