Noopur & Corrado's wedding

It was so beautiful down in Mexico!

Noops had several beautiful outfit changes over the course of 4 days.

Her mom and Corrado's mom were meeting for the first time, and they were basically twins. It was so cute!

Zameer hosted the Sangeet...but Noops's niece Sahana stole the show.

Loved seeing all my gorgeous Asian ladyfriends who I haven't seen since Ibiza!

This gold outfit of Noops's was probably my fave.

So cute!

On the actual wedding day, Corrado rode into the beachside ceremony on a horse.

It was totally epic.

The ceremony itself was super pretty too.

So beautiful!

Awwww these besties are for life.

Noops had another outfit change for the reception. And then for late night she changed into this sparkly number. It was sooo much fun. These are all the pics I processed for posting on instagram so this is all you get. For now. Maybe.

Congrats Noops and Corrado!!!

Then early this morning (Sunday) I hopped in a cab to catch an early flight to Grand Cayman (via Miami UGH).

It SHOULD be only an hour flight if it were direct...Cancun and Cayman are real close. But alas, it is not and involved a full day of traveling.

I've arrived though! And ready for Engage14 to begin!!!

Tahoe Wedding!

Last weekend I went to Tahoe to shoot a fabulous wedding that I booked after meeting the bride and groom at Sam & Aliisa's New Orleans Wedding back in January.

I flew out on Thursday and it was a crazy travel day. The airport was packed but I had received my upgrade about a week prior so I was good to go.

As I was about to board though, the gate agent made an announcement that the flight was oversold and they needed volunteers to take a later flight through Salt Lake City for a $600 travel voucher (which is basically cash for me since I buy so many plane tickets anyway). Without even thinking about it I surrendered my ticket. $$$$

I did work for about 5 hours in the lounge and then hopped on my flight to Salt Lake.

Once in Salt Lake I headed to my connecting flight to Sacramento and AGAIN they needed volunteers for an oversold flight!

So I gave up my ticket again and got another $400 voucher and went to the Salt Lake Lounge and did more work. It was a SUPER productive day. AND I made $1000!

I stayed overnight in Sacramento with cousin Charleen and Tim and their kiddos. Then picked up Allan around lunchtime Friday (he happened to be free so he came out to shoot with me) and we drove 2 hours up to beautiful Tahoe for the rehearsal dinner.

Dinner was lakeside at this DELICIOUS restaurant called the West Shore Cafe.

I took the bride and groom down to the "beach" and did a quickie engagement shoot.

Then we watched the gorgeous sunset as we sipped cocktails and ate delicious whores de orves.

Random coincidence. Liz (below) was also a guest at Sam & Aliisa's NOLA wedding. And at the time was totally single and caught the bouquet in the bouquet toss.

She's now dating the Tahoe bride's brother and they are the cutest couple and I hope I shoot their wedding because I'm sure it will also be fabulous.

Love this patio setup!

Wedding day we got ready at the venue. The bride's parents have a home in this private community of gorgeous lakeside summer homes.

The living room was decorated with stuffed geese so I just had to get this unusual shot. :-)

Then Alex and Steve did a first look and exchanged private vows before the ceremony.

It was a beauuutiful venue.

Photobomb!!!!

The ceremony was beautiful.

Woooo!

And of course there was a beautiful sunset.

There was lots of beautiful furniture set up and a giant tent.

The dance party was fun!

Thanks Allan for snapping these great photos of me at work!

Best job ever!!!!

Big Rhody Wedding Weekend!

I just got back from two big weddings in the Rhode Island area this weekend.

The first was for Caroline and Tim in Westport, Massachusetts on their family compound.

Someday I would like to have a compound. As long as there are no spiders. This compound had spiders. Not into it!

There were NINE flower girls in their wedding party. It was crazy.

The older ones took direction REALLY well. I love them so much.

The 250-person reception took place under a GIANT tent.

Random factoid: The bride Caroline's brother used to date Shiri in high school. Small world!

And two of my favorite parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fay, were there! (Mrs. Fay referred me the wedding, since I've shot both Molly's Wedding, Katie's Wedding, AND cousin Sheila's wedding.)

Since retiring from running golf for the United States of America, Mr. Fay has been writing a monthly column for Golf Digest.

You can check out his writings here: http://www.golfdigest.com/contributors/david-fay

I don't even like golf. But I love reading his articles because I love him so much.

-------------------

The next day, Sunday, I had a wedding down in Newport.

Beautiful bride Nicole went to Brown with me. She's a year younger so I didn't really know her back then... but I'm so thankful for my network of fabulous smartyrich people who can afford to hire me for weddings!

The wedding actually took place at Belle Mer, which is a gorgeous venue inside... but outside leaves a little bit to be desired, especially in Newport where there are so many beautiful mansions.

So we rented a giant bus to take the enormous wedding party (12 bridesmaids I think and 9 or so groomboys) around town. We trespassed at the various mansions until we got kicked out or yelled at by someone (which happened a few times lol).

It was kind of awesome.

The reception set up was quite pretty! Lots and lots o' candles.

And the dance party was super fun!

Also present was Grace, who is a good friend of the bride's mom. (And my mom's too!)

I met Grace almost 8 years ago when she and my mom had just become besties. (She also lives in Barrington, where I grew up.)

It wasn't until a couple years ago when I started getting more involved in the "wedding industry" that I realized Grace was GRACE ORMONDE, the owner and editor of Grace Ormonde Wedding Style Magazine. She's basically the Anna Wintour of weddings (without all the scariness and awfulness.)

It was so nice to see her and I think this wedding will be getting a feature if the pictures are good enough!

Oh...also, bride Nicole happens to be a marketing director or something at LVMH...so we were literally popping bottles of Dom and Moey Shandon ALL DAY LONG.

LOVES an ALL-DOM PARTY!!!

Congratulations to all my beautiful couples!!!

OK I gots to get lots of stuff done now before heading to Tahoe on Thursday and then France, Italy and London!
