Turns out Sebastian the Gay Massuese was a refugee from Croatia. He was in a concentration camp for several years as a teenager and somehow fled to Germany where he lived in foster homes before running away to come to the US.
He has lived here for about six years or so and has built quite a little "business" for himself.
He has a multitude of extremely wealthy clients, some who are even billionaires who shower him with gifts like $30,000 watches and the like. Many book him several times a week.
Averaging $6000 or so a week, he sends a large portion of the money he makes to his mother who still lives in Croatia. She just recently bought a new house.
Also he employs a full-time personal assistant and driver because he is terrified of driving and often confuses right and left (a side-effect of concentration camping) (yuck).
So...in a way it's kind of amazing that he has achieved so much (or at least made so much money) after having had such a hard childhood. And it's kind of noble what he is doing, and a little bit inspiring...
...until you remember that he's giving people handys for a living.

Puppies and the Gay Massuese
In the words of the New Year's text of the great Aly Parker, "DK Photo is SO HOT in '07!"
And it is true.
The beginning of '07 has seen my business expanding in all different directions.
Pet Photography...

...and Gay Masseuses.
Yes, a couple weeks ago I received an inquiry into doing headshots and "sexier pictures" for a masseur's webpage. Business was already going pretty well for him with his current kinda-crappy pictures, but he thought if he got hot new ones his business would double. (He makes $150 per session, an extra $300 for a "happy ending", and claims to average about $6000 a week)
We met. He seemed nice enough. Weird. Kinda Croatian-ish. Really annoying accent and personality. We shook hands. I quickly excused myself to wash mine. And then we took some photos.
He was hardly the hottest man I have ever seen. And the pictures were hardly the best pictures I've ever taken...

But for some reason he loved them.
So much so that he felt the need to run tip me.
And tip me.
And tip me.
Basically he just handed me a white envelope.

And I think it contained everything he had made today (about $1200).

I love my job and the crazies I'm proud to call my clients.
