Boston

So thankful that it seems everyone I know of in and around Boston is safe.

We were coming home from dinner last night and the second our internet kicked in (we only get it when we're home in our hotel) we got all the alerts and updates about the Boston bombing.

Just awful.

Having grown up, gone to high school, and then college so close to Beantown, we all know a lot of people who we were very concerned about.

Thank god for social media in times like this. Even though cellphones weren't working, people who were near the site of the bombing were posting updates to let everyone else know that they were ok.

We were glued to the TV and our Facebook news feeds for hours just trying to find out the latest news.

This is one of those events where we'll remember exactly where we were, who we were with, and what we were doing when we heard...

It feels kind of selfish and indulgent and just plain lame to post anything about our eurotrip while all this madness is going on back home.

So until further notice, I'll be taking a "moment of silence", as all my thoughts and prayer-type-things are being sent in the direction of Boston.
