.................................................................................
The date: Saturday, March 8th 2008
The setting:
Beautiful Ruby Ranch in Buda, Texas. Just south of Austin.
Family looked great.
Guests, groomboys and maidgirls?
All prettified.
The music man strummed his ukelele.
Jesse looked like he was happily crapping his pants as he awaited his beautiful bridezilla.
Eventually she emerged from her lair, escorted by her father.
Guests all stood.
(At this point the official hired wedding photogs (a trio of tiny Photo Asians) had their views of the bride blocked as a result of everyone standing. The main Photo Asian flipped out and scurried around swearing, trying to get a decent shot. We made eye contact. I laughed. He hates me. Score!)
Jesse's Aunt Janet, a high-level sorceress, officiated the ceremony.
She offered words of wisdom...
Providing embarrassing anecdotes...
And cast some sweet spells...

And then...they were married.
Everyone was radiant.
We went inside for delicious dinner and mingling.
The food?
MEAT.
After dinner, the room filled as the new couple took their first dance...
Then there were the other traditionals...
Father/daughter... mother/daughter... daughter/Asian... etc.
By the end of the traditionals, major drinking was underway.
The groomsmen were all six-packing it.
Dane, my pseudo-"date" was the spitting image of an all-growed up David Archuleta.

And there was just such a huge outpouring of love and friendship and happiness.
In the end (around 2am) (keep in mind drinking commenced around 6pm) the young people all wound down around a mini-bonfire.
We shared stories...
People paired off...
KarlHanson had sex with a tree...
And everyone passed out in the bushes.
...................
Congratulations Jesse and Laura!
...................
The End.
