Con's Bachelorette

So I went up with the girls to Stowe for Connie's Bachelorette Party last weekend.

Priya, Laura, Kristen and I arrived the night before.

The day-of we worked leisurely while the rest of the gang made their way up from NYC (it's a 6 hour drive).

When they finally arrived, we greeted them with a shotski.

And Jalapeno Margaritas that Kristin infused herself.

They were SPICY.

We prepared a mexican feast.

Guac...

And shredded chicken tacos...

Yummy!

Over the course of 48 hours there were so many laughs and smiles and squeals and "woo!"s...

Kristen had prepared goodie bags for everyone...

The laughter was pretty much non-stop.

Day 2 began with lunch.

Lunch consisted of lots and lots of salad. Eating with girls is like eating in a forest.

(And when you hang out with all girls, a lot of the conversations end up being about salad. Salads...and relationship-styles...and complimenting each other.)

Then the girls spent the afternoon at the spa while I went home and relaxed.

It had been a warm sunny day and all the snow kind of melted but then it got cold in the afternoon and everything turned into ice.

Watching the girls slowly make their way down the icy steps as they returned home was kiiiind of amusing.

Night 2 began with drinks and games and a penis straw.

Con then opened up presents which all consisted of undergarments.

We made her a pantie bouquet that she was going to have to walk around with all night.

Con looks trash trash trashed!

Then there was a partybus.

And we toured the bars of downtown Stowe.

And danced our little fannies off.

Only bar one was fun, the other bars were not as fun. And Priya fell asleep and almost got kidnapped by the bus driver. So we took the dance party home.

Sometimes I think it's unfair how much laughter and joy we get to experience on a day-to-day basis. We are really really lucky.

Literally we'll be in public and people will just glare at us or roll their eyes when they see how much fun we're having. And I realize a lot of people have never and will never get to experience such amazing hilarious friends. And for a brief moment I feel sad for them...but then someone tells a joke or smacks me with a penis-straw and I go back to laughing until I can barely breathe.

"Guys....I LOVE US!!!!"

Greetings from Stowe Mountain Lodge!

I landed back in NYC at 5 am yesterday morning.

Took a nappy, then hopped in the car and drove 6 hours up to Vermont with Priya and Laura.

We're all getting our work done this morning in the most beautiful setting with a gorgeous snowy mountain backdrop, fun soothing tunes, and hot coffee and cocoa.

The rest of the crew is currently miserable having woken up early to drive 6 hours this morning.

Fun weekend ahead!
