SF!

Just arrived in SF!

Gearing up to shoot a big two-part wedding tomorrow in Half Moon Bay.

(Part two takes place next weekend in Houston.)

I'm exhausted. Vegas killed me.

Going to sleep right now. Sleep sleep sleep.

Vegas w/ Disney Dreamers

Vegas is amazing. But total sensory overload. Food. Sights. Sounds. Money-loss.

I mean...just check out the lobby of my hotel when I walked in every day. Video pillars that blast all kinds of awesome ever-changing images at you.

Upon arriving we hit up Jaleo by José Andrés at the Cosmo with Tom's grandparents. You order everything off an iPad.

We had Sangria...

Oysters.

Fried wiener pastries...

Cheesy asparagi...

The most DELICIOUS chicken bites...

And BEEF...

After dinner we put on our pretty shoes...

And we went to see Peep Show!!!

Tom and Danny and I had seen it last time we were in Vegas. But Tom's friend Allan is now the stage manager for the show and got us free tickets so we went again. Holly Madison lost a lot of weight and looks amazing and even kind-of sings now!

Tom was staying at Paris. A pretty hotel. Inside it is semi-lame.

The new shopping center at CityCenter is pretty sweet...

And Celine's new ads are ridiculous. Obviously she came up with them herself and is surrounded by yes-people.

And the Cosmopolitan's buffet The Wicked Spoon is THE BEST buffet in Vegas. Unlike most buffets where you serve yourself out of a giant vat of food. Most of the dishes at The Wicked Spoon come pre-portioned and you just grab the tiny little pan servings of pasta/meatball/whatever. And all the food is AWESOME. And the buffet is only $22.

Did I mention that I had an epic view out my window?

Oh right, and so the whole reason we were in Vegas to begin with (aside from me having a couple photo shoots) was that Justin and Ashleigh, Tom's besties from The Disney Cruise, were celebrating their 30th birthdays!

Yayyyyyy....?

We decided to slum it for the night and went over to Circus Circus/The Riviera for some $1/$5 blackjack.

Then several gin/tonics later ended up at Planet Dailies, my favorite late night spot at Planet Hollywood.

The last I remember of Justin, was when he was like this:

But in the morning I woke up and found him like this:

Phil woke up like this...

Photobucket

Oh Vegas....

FINALLY for a our finale BIRTHDAY meal we went to Picasso at the Bellagio.

Overpriced but delicious, we started with an Amooz Booooosh

Had an AMAZING lobster salad.

Epic epic scallops on mashed potatoes...

A lamb medallion that had a bacon-y crunch wrapping it that was absolutely heavenly...

And for dessert a beggar's purse.

All this while surrounded by actual Picasso paintings...

One apparently worth like $35 million...

Oh and there was an epic view of the fountain right from the restaurant.

Finally we went to The Chandelier back at the Cosmo for drinks.

And then up to the SkyLobby at the Mandarin Oriental to meet up with Danny and friends!

A quick stop at Aria...

And then we went out for a little gay dancing at Piranha.

So yes. All that in the span of three days = exhaustion.

I slept for a few hours starting the second I landed at SFO though and woke up at 7am ready for an epic Indian wedding.

More on that coming soon!
