Just as things were starting to look bleak.....

It was 12:11am. The lounge was going to close in about 20 minutes.



I took a shower in a beautiful private Admiral's Club bathroom, after which I planned to sleep in some scary corner clutching my camera bag and laptop bag for dear life while I waited to get on standby on flight after flight after flight.



I video chatted with Jesse and Smileyjohn.



And they told me to just put myself on the morning standby list, instead of even trying for the 12am (which now got delayed to 1:30am) flight because I was 20th on the standby list and the flight was already oversold by 12 people.

So I talked to the lady. And she looked at the 6am flight which is the next possible flight. And somehow, was going to put me on the standby list. But literally as she was looking at the screen, a seat opened up!!!!! AND I GOT IT.

I'M ON THE 6AM FLIGHT TO DALLAS!!!! I AM GOING TO MAKE IT TO THE WEDDING!!!!

Smileyjohn and Jesse are on their way to pick me up so we can have a few hours of wasteyface fun in Venice followed by late night snack before they drop me off at the airport again for my flight.

I have the BEST best friends EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
