Sexy Latin Fun

My friend and former client Juan Pablo just facebook messaged me saying he is back in Venezuela because he landed the lead role on a new soap.

Here's the trailer:

It's looking like they might get picked up by Univision.

Exciting!

He actually had really long hair when we shot...

And I had tied it back and then photoshopped it to look shorter so that he could go out for more mainstream roles.

In the end they cast him in this soap but forced him to cut his hair anyway. He looks SO good in the promo.

J.P. is also apparently slated to play a "Sexy Male Angel" in some upcoming film.

I see a big future for this one.

He's going to be the next Javier Bardem. But hotter.

American Idol = Snorefest

American Idol is so so SO boring this year.

All the guys are lame.

None of them are attractive.

(Well one of them (Tim Urban) is adorable, but he can't sing.)

But Simon liked him. And his name is Tim Urban.

So I voted for him.

But god this season is awful.

Plus, Ellen's neck is scary and old-looking.

Plus, I miss Paula.

Blast from the Past

Our former-friend MikeSacks, (have not seen him since 2006 when we said goodbye to Megoon) was on the front page of The New York Times today.

Camping out at the Supreme Court like it's an American Idol audition or something? So weird.

Oh, and apparently at some point between 2006 and today he unfriended me on facebook, which makes him a double-dickhead.

You can read the article here:

You can check out his new blog about how he likes to be first in line at the Supreme Court all the time here (boring):

You can check out his old blog about the random asian people who try to friend him on Friendster here (awesome and amazing):

Surrogate Sighting!

So I netflixed Surrogates and just started watching it this evening.

If you haven't seen it, it's this Bruce Willis movie about the future and how everyone uses a "Surrogate" to represent them in the real world.

These surrogates are like robots and are perfect looking and so there's lots and lots of ridiculously pretty people in the movie.

So in one of the opening scenes there's a car crash.

This car swerves to avoid hitting a motorcyclist and hits a pole and flips and crashes into a line of surrogates waiting in line for a club.

The police arrive.

And clean up the scene.

As they pull the car away...they unveil our sexy surrogate innocent bystander victim...

And it's Danny!

Happily he is not dead because he is sparking and still able to move his head and wiggle his fingers.

Unhappily, this is all we get to see of him in the movie.

Hmmph.

Bet it was a fun movie to shoot though!

Blogspot is being weird

Sorry for those of you who are active readers and like to click on backlinks and labels and archives to re-live old adventures. It's been brought to my attention that blogspot has been having issues because of the way they now categorize postings so, for example, you may click "July 2008" or something and only 3 or 4 posts pop up when there should be about 30 posts. I'm looking into it/sending irate emails to technical support. Hopefully it will be fixed at some point.

Harriet Tubman - The Sexiest Abolitionist

Those of you who have known me a long time probably remember that Harriet Tubman used to be one of my favorite superheroes.

"I'll shoot you. I swear to god I'll shoot you."

American Idol!

So I'm just now getting into American Idol again. Are y'all watching?

My favorite girl so far I think is Didi who looks like Blake Lively.

I also kind of like the black girl who was dressed all in white and butchered "I Wanna Hold Your Hand". There was something kind of charming about how she just went and happily diarrhea-ed all over the Beatles.

The Asian is DEFINITELY going home.

American HATES Asian guys. Especially when they look and act as fobby as he does and make idiotic comments like "Yeah, I'm here for the money." (WHEN are they going to pick a gorgeous TimLoh-y Asian with a fantastical voice that ALL of America can swoon over??? (Sasians don't count, Anoop!))

For the guys...I kind of like the guy that Kara's obsessed with.

Speaking of Kara. She has good taste.

Did y'all know Kara got married to the hunky contractor who built the house next to hers in Maine last year?

Yahhhh. Good work Cougartown!

Also I think Ellen has been generally useless as a judge.

I kind of like her as a person. And I enjoyed her in the auditions and Hollywood week, but as a judge I don't think she brings anything to the table.

I also am continually baffled by how bad some of the performances are. These are supposed to be the best 24 people they auditioned out of ALL OF AMERICA. They should ALL be knocking it out of the park.

Still...I don't think they'll ever find an idol as wonderful as David Archuleta.

Pigflu

Sick today. Blehhhh.

I watched some truly awful TV.

Sleepless in Seattle. And Keeping up with the Kardashians.

I did make a new slideshow though for my headshot portfolio!

Now I just have to figure out how to post it on my site...

Nyquil and Emergen-C. Please make me feel better!

Oslo in April!

So my friend Thor, who is a super-connected awesomeface, just invited me to be the official photographer of this event he hosts annually called the Oslo Freedom Forum.

Here's a pic from last year's event of him and his cohost/BFF Fergie. (The Duchess of York, NOT the methhead-trannyface.)

SO excited!

Oooh!

They're shooting 30 Rock outside my apt today.

Hopefully will have some celeb spottings for you later!

Happy Belated Birthday Mark!

We celebrated Mark's birthday a few days ago at Cowgirl in the West Village.

JoeScat was in town for the occasion.

Margaritas and Tequilas were everywhere.

Birthday boy got drunked and disrobed = yay.

Stumbled on some chinktown mayhem...

Bumped into Gen's parents.

Ate some tasty hand-pulled noodles.

It was a good day.

Happy Belated Chinese New Year!

We ate SO MUCH. And it cost $15.

I love chinkfood.

WEDDINGS!

Special thanks go to cousin Jon and soon-to-be-cousin Jen who wanted a presentation before they booked me as a photographer and thus got me to throw together my wedding portfolio slideshow.

Press the little icon next to "vimeo" to watch it full-screen. It's better.

Yes, I used the same song that I used in my Superbowl slideshow. Sue me. I love it.

Here's where the fun part comes in.

I'm nothing without my friends and family and clients and supporters.

So I need your help.

Send me a client this year and I'll give you a REFERRAL FEE!

I charge $2800 for a wedding, $1800 for the wedding of a friend or family member.

If you send me a full-paying client, I'll give you $500.

There is no catch.

I make money, you make money.

(Refer someone who is already a friend or acquaintance of mine and I'll give you a $100 referral fee.)

I'm available for travel throughout the world.

And if I'm your friend and you're getting married, maybe you should book me lest I get booked on another job and am unable to attend your wedding because I'm working! (Farshid)

(Smershy and Goony you're safe.)

Thank you to everyone who has been so supportive over the past few years.

You all are the reason I'm able to do what I love for a living.
