Sushi Sandra

Sandra organized a sushi feast for her birthday last night.

There was your usual spicy tuna and tempura rolls. But also there were beef rolls. Weird.

Delicious.

100k

Today is a day in history people!

(Actually it could have been yesterday...or the day before...)

We hit 100,000 page views!

Of course this is about .025% of the hits Perez gets DAILY...but still...it's a good number.

Thank you friends, thank you Canadian Asians, thank you DannyHong, thank you Greta from Germany.

I do it all for you.

Oh...

It was for all Asians.

And there were definitely hot ones.

Hmmph.

Off to the gym!

UGLY CASTING!

So you might have forgotten that even after all this time I am still an Ugly Model.

I went on an audition two weeks ago for a music video but was beat out by a little midget woman.

Lame.

I got an email from my booker the other day though and this kind of sounds promising...

How sweet would it be if I got a Times Square billboard before Matt or Anne did?

Sasia Quest

KateFat and I took a trip out to Jackson Heights, Queens today in a quest for delicious curry and Sasian clothes for Tara's wedding next weekend.

The area is totally Sasian. Curry and Bollywood movie posters and saris and kurta pyjamas galore.

Took some hot pics of her while we were out there.

Another thing I love about NY...

You meet and bump into people here constantly. And in the most random of places.

So I have a new workout buddy that I bumped into the other day after having met him briefly in line for a bar through mutual friends like 3 or 4 weeks ago. We grabbed a lunch that turned into a walk that turned into him bringing me as a guest to work out at Equinox.

Equinox. Is. Sweet.

While there, I ended up bumping into DannyR (my neighbor in L.A.), of all people. He's in town visiting a boy.

That turned into an impromptu Monday happy hour with frozen margaritas...

Which led to early evening cocktails...

Which led us to Splash Bar!

Yay!

Wandering...

Everywhere you turn in NYC there's something to do or see...

Over the last few days I've done a ton of walking. Miles and miles. Just put on my headphones. Pumped some tunes. And walked.

From the treehouse... to Wall St... up to the Upper East Side. And back.

That's a lot more walking than I do making the trip down the block to L.A. Buns or the gym when I'm at home...

..........................

I had an awesome brunch at Sara Beth's in the Whitney Museum (75th and Madison).

Got this Open-Faced Tuna Sandwich with fresh tomatoes, basil, and balsamic vinegar and it was the best tasting tuna I have ever had in my entire life.

Swung by the most crowded Apple store in the world (and it's not just because of the iPhone)...

Wandered through some street fairs which I always think are neat because they close off huge avenues and set against the backdrop of these giant buildings...well...it's just kind of surreal...

Passed by the Shake Shack.

Shake Shake, Shake Shake A-Shake it...

And I came upon a scene from my future when I stumbled on some random fashion shoot. Neat.

Hooray! Walking!

MoMa Day

Went to the Moma this weekend. Probably one of my favorite places in the city.

Things we saw:

Picasso Sculptures

Jackson Pollocks.

More Picassos.

Warhols.

A lint masterpiece...

Weird awesome fun pop art made of stick figures.

And the Dali exhibition which was sick.

Did you know Dali did a collaboration with Walt Disney where he made an 8-minute short film that was Fantasia-esque? It was a project that kind of fell apart, but in recent years it's been finalized and fully-animated and it was pretty freakin' awesome.

Imagine a moving Dali painting with a hot hottie supermodel princess...that turns into a dandelion. Worth the trip if the only thing you see is the film.

Yay China!

Megoon just sent me a little e-card:

I actually used to look like this (and not because we all look same).

Shake It!

Now if she does it like this, will you do it like that?
Now if she touches like this, will you touch her like that right back**?
Now if she moves like this, will you move her like that?
Come on, shake, shake...shake, shake, a-shake it!

Gosh I love that video.

Epic Hoochie Celebration

The Noguchi's Hoochies kicked ass on Friday. Won 13-1.

I was wearing my sweet new uniform. (I don't actually play. I just show up occassionally and sit and clap softly.)

We kicked off the victory celebration with a game of Kings.

Mark ended up losing.

Flip-cup followed...

Oh and I met my new teammate Kathleen, who accidentally stumbled on this blog several months ago when she was doing a google search for "Party Bus NYC" and realized she knew everyone.

(She begged not to be featured.)

Hi Kathleen!

Eventually an iPod got hooked up.

And the dance party started.

And Mark poured beer on everyone.

Killer track of the evening:

Metrostation - "Shake It"

Who needs a bar or dance club when you have Hoochies and a living room?

We are ridiculous.
