I often call Evan our Dear Leader.
Mainly because the North Koreans do it to the Kim Jong WhateverTheirNamesAre and I think it is ridiculous/hilarious, but also because, as founder and main social organizer of the Tall Gay Agenda (our amazing group of tall gays 6'4" and taller), Evan really is our leader!
I photoshopped him this little picture for his bday. Pretty proud of it.
(This is the original, notice how I lengthened the legs on those silly little midge NorthKoreans.)
On Sunday I had a fabulous SoHo House Brunch with some of my favorite ladies...
After they left, Evan & friends came by for drinks and then we headed to a tall gay screening of American Hustle. (Really fun movie. Slightly overrated. But great.)
Afterwards we went out in the East Village for drinks. One drink turned into ten and we found ourselves at midnight ringing in Evan's birthday and then proceeding to get Blue Ribbon Fried Chicken at 2am and drunkenly closing the place down after ordering the "Family Feast"...
Monday passed. I had a couple photoshoots, and then at 4pm Evan decided he wanted to have another birthday feast and organized an impromptu dinner at Hill Country because they do a special Monday Night All-You-Can-East Barbecue FEAST.
It is insane.
Tall boys know how to EAT.
We had chickens and ribs and briskets and a CRAZY assortment of different delicious sides like green bean casserole, mac and cheese, corn pudding, potato salad, beanzzzzz, you name it we ate it.
ROWRRRR.
Afterwards we got a text from our friend Shane who bartends down at Pulqueria down in Chinatown. Since that is near my house and I had driven up to Hill Country, the giants all squeezed in for a free ride downtown.
It was NOT legal...
We made it down to Chi-Town though!
And made Shane feel like a lil celebrity...
LOVE nights out with my tall brothers!
We look like a band or something...
Happy Birthday Evan!!!!
Thank you for uniting so many wonderful giants!!!!

Britney Spears: Las Vegas Live!!!!
OMG. The Best Concert EVER.
The last Britney concert I went to was at Staples Center with Jesse in 2011...so I've been needing my Britney fix for quite some time.
Lady Di and I have been planning this adventure since The Las Vegas Residency was announced back in September. She's never been to a Britney show before!
We bought tix the day they went on sale and scored the best seats in the house for only $160. (When I checked the other night before our show, "seats" in our section were selling for $500-$600. Still worth it though! I would definitely go again!)
Diana flew in from Arizona. David Alan flew in from LA.
Prior to the show we drank and snacked and watched the Bellagio Fountains. Still one of my favorite things in Vegas.
David Alan looks unimpressed...lol.
And then we walked across the street to Planet Hollywood for the show!
Soyyyy exciting!
There was lots of Britney memorabilia was on display. Britney stuff and Moey-Shandons. YUM!
The theater was way larger than I thought it would be.
Originally I thought they were doing this thing in the old Peepshow theater. I was wrong.
Loves looking back at all the people with crappier seats than us!
I was asked by multiple midges to move because I was blocking their view.
#sorrynotsorry !!!
Our neighbors brought with them a Slave4U boa!
The show opened with WorkBitch and Britney flying in on a metal globe cage.
It was immediately apparent that set design and choreography of this show was insane.
It honestly didn't even matter to anyone that she was lipsynching or that her dance moves aren't nearly as fast or "poppy" as she used to be. She knew her choreography and was working it out!
(Although on one of the YouTube videos, one of the commenters remarked that she moved fastest when she was running off stage in-between songs LOL.)
The dancers were SO GOOD.
Over in the pit we were sandwiched between the main front of the stage and the extension where all the dancers would occasionally run out to be closer to the rest of the audience.
Turns out they only used this extension thing like 2 or 3 times throughout the show. Yay for us!
Brit-Brit sometimes photographs a little "thick" in photos these days, but she looked fantastic in person.
Here she yelled at us to count to three...
And then launced into an amazing production of her song "3".
Then things slowed down a little for "Everytime" as confetti rained down on us...
And she descended from the skies like a beautiful lip-syching angel...
This is Lady Di singing at the top of her lungs and getting a little emotional.
(Y'all, Brit-Brit KILLS herself in a bathtub in this music video if you remember! So awful! We HATES a suicide!!!)
People who film entire concerts on their cellphones are SO super annoying.
I mean. I too take a lot of pics during concerts...but I whip my camera out for a few seconds each song to grab a good shot or three... then I PUT IT AWAY.
Also, my shots are decent quality photos taken with a decent quality camera and not crappy iPhone pictures. Some people just stand there filming THE ENTIRE TIME. UGH.
And usually those people are Asian. DOUBLE-UGH.
Did I mention the dancers were incredible?
But OMG, WillieGomez stole the entire show several times.
Gabriel has photographed him and I am sooooo jealous.
He is perfection.
The remixes to Baby One More Time and Oops I Did It Again were AWESOME this time around. In previous concerts she had done jazzy takes on them and they weren't all that exciting.
Brit you looked fierce!
Time for another mid-concert selfie!
She seemed to really be enjoying herself!!!
Scream & Shout was really cool, with hamster wheels for the dancers...
Then Brit slowed down and "sang" her new single "Perfume"...
This was when I turned around and noticed Nicole Richie in the audience right behind us in the private booths!
Brit then performed Slave4U and the set transformed yet again...
This time she was on a moving throne with a fountain built in...it was awesome looking.
When I glanced over to look at Nicole, she was nowhere in sight... but her friends all had their cellphones out...
Turns out Nicole had been brought onstage for "Freakshow". The song/portion of the show every night where Britney picks a "random" audience member and brings them onstage. This is a BRILLIANT move because it is usually a celebrity audience member (past participants include Mario Lopez and Lance Bass) and allows Brit's show to get TONS of free press in all the gossip blogs the morning after.
Nicole did a great job and looked amazing!
Love this part where Britney walks her on a leash like a doggie...
Her friends were going crazy.
And it was so cute to see them all giggling and squealing over their iPhone pictures immediately after the performance.
Stars: They're Just Like Us!
WillieGomez came out again and introduced Circus...
ALL EYES ON BRIT IN THE CENTER OF A RING JUST LIKE A CIRRRRRCUS...
OK fine, maybe I digitally-slimmed her a little in all my pics.
I love you Brit!
She also sang "Lucky", my least favorite Britney song of all time...although, I must admit, I still know all the words and it was fun to scream out loud to...
And then it was time for TOXIC...
Featuring the giant foot-crushing tree that was seen in her documentary "I Am Britney Jean."
Toxic led into the finale of "Til' the World Ends"...
And again it rained confetti flowers and poker chips...
SO MUCH FUN!!!!
Being in the front row of the theater is just the WORST though because everyone else in the theater gets to exit before you. UGHHHHHH #DKProblems
Haha, seriously though, it was probably a fire hazard.
Diana and I had a laugh the other day because we were in front of Caesars Palace waiting for the valet and admiring all the fancy cars out front. Beemers...Mercedes...a Maserati and singing the lyrics to "Work Bitch". And then the valet rolled around with my ugly little rental car, a Volkswagen Golf, and she said, "You want a GOLF? You better rent bitch!"
For some reason we thought it was high-larious...and I immediately had this image in my head of her lying on the hood of the fabulous Golf with that caption... and it was a running joke all day...so after the concert I ran and grabbed my car and we drove it into this restricted area near the Britney elevators.
It's a casino so there are security cameras everywhere. The guards were on us within minutes.
I SO wish we'd gotten a picture of their faces looking at us like we were completely INSANE.
-------------------------------
Oh...also...my camera has this weird setting that I didn't realize I had activated. Basically it takes video footage while I'm trying to focus to take a snapshot...so I have all this random footage from the entire concert. If you make it to the very end you get a special performance of Slave4U choreography by Diana and Kyle.
Best Night EVER!!!!!
